Review By Darren McIntyre
Tiberius are a prog rock quintet from Edinburgh, Scotland who came to our attention 10 years ago with the release of their debut self titled EP and quickly followed that with 2017’s The Beautiful Ones. 2020 sees the release of their debut LP A Peaceful Annihilation which has allowed them to steadily grow their fanbase and bring their infectious brand of prog rock to the masses and beyond. The boys have been working hard and are about to unleashe their eagerly awaited sophomore album Singing For Company slated for release 21st March, from that stunning release comes their melodic new single Mosaic which I will be reviewing for you today so please sit back and prepare yourself.
Mosaic – The track ripples into action with a sampler tone that lets the boys deliver a real foot stomping melodic tone that instantly settles the nerves as the cool rhythm section brings a solid snare drum groove that allows the double bass kick to make itself known to us. The soaring vocals are flowing effortlessly through the track as a deep thumping bassline drops killer grooves all through this awesome number, the slick twin guitar assault is ramping up the tone of the track as the boys bring depth, swagger and bags of attitude to the crunching beast of a track that gets the juices flowing as we feel the harmonies hitting us. The whole arrangement is a real symphonic laden melody tinged track that just allows the stringed tones ripple through the mid section as we feel the energy coursing through the composition as the sweet, soaring vocals leave their mark on this colossal single that will have you reaching for the repeat button for sure.
