Review By Darren McIntyre
H.E.A.T. are a hard rock / AOR band from Upplands Vaspy, Sweden who originally formed in 2007 and brought us their debut self titled album H.E.A,T, in 2008. This allowed the boys the opportunity to open for the likes of Toto, Sabaton, Alice Cooper and also gave them the chance to perform @ Sweden Rock Festival, 2010 brought about the departure of lead singer Kenny Leckremo due to a genetic heart condition which saw him get an operation to fix him, the boys continue to make fist pumping music that has kept them at the forefront of the rock scene to this day. The boys are due to drop their explosive new album Welcome To The Future slated for release April 25th, from that record comes the killer new track Disaster which I will be reviewing for you today.
Disaster – The track begins with a sweet melodic synth intro that allows this heart pounding beast to make it’s entrance and really get us all hot under the collar. The soaring vocals shatter the silence as Kenny brings the HEAT( see what I did there) to this colossal offering. The pounding rhythm section comes frint and centre with a solid snare drum beat as the bass kicks and cymbal crashes make themselves known to us, the crunching guitar licks are soaring high and really give the track depth, attitude and bags of swagger as this fist pumping rock n roll juggernaut hurtles towards us at a rate of knots. The foot stomping groove is coming through as the dark, meaty bassline drops killer funk elements all through this heart stomping beast as the boys make a welcome return to form with this power driven, electric monster track that will surely have you reaching for the repeat button.
