Dion Francis DiMucci aka Dion is a singer / songwriter from Bronx, New York who has been performing since 1957, he began his career in the music industry as lead singer of Dion & The Belmonts, to date Dion has had 39 top 40 hits and is a Grammy Nominated artist who has released over 40 albums and was inducted into The Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame in 1989. Dion has given us 4 albums with the Belmonts & 16 solo albums and today returns with a new single New York Minute & book The Rock n Roll Philosopher so please sit back as I walk us through this punchy new single.

New York Minute – The track begins with a real 60’s feel that brings a toe tapping groove that instantly makes you wanna get up and dance as the beat just grabs a hold of you. We have sweet keys that are flowing effortlessly through the track as Dion comes in with his soulful melodic vocals that just elevate the track somewhat with it’s catchy groove and mellow tone, the backing vocals really get the track moving as the rhythm section hits us with a punchy snare drum kick that has basskicks and cymbal taps that just take us to the ballroom as we feel the energy oozing from this charismatic musician. The texture is incredible and really gives the track depth and swagger as Dion shows he has lost none of his tone and musicality, a sweet magnifying guitar lick wanders freely through the track as we just revel in the splendour of this celebrated musician as he brings us another toe tapping blues – country filled arrangement.
