Power metal warlords Sabaton charge into battle once more with the thunderous new single “Templars,” marking their first release under Better Noise Music and the opening salvo from their forthcoming 11th studio album. If this track is any indication of what’s to come, fans are in for a mighty campaign of sonic warfare, steeped in history and delivered with Sabaton’s signature fist-pumping precision.
Known worldwide as the #1 global power metal band and one of Sweden’s greatest musical exports, Sabaton wastes no time setting the tone with “Templars.” It’s a galloping, anthemic piece built for arenas and battlefields alike. Frontman Joakim Brodén’s unmistakable vocals ride atop a wave of martial riffs, soaring choruses, and the kind of precision drumming that could rally an army.
Visually, the single is a triumph. Filmed across two historic Serbian landmarks—Belgrade Fortress and Smederevo Fortress—the music video turns history into living, breathing theatre. With seasoned reenactors and gritty realism, every sword clash and fiery glance pulls you deeper into the storm. The sweltering summer heat only added to the intensity of the scenes, infusing them with a visceral, authentic energy.

We don’t know the full battlefield just yet, but if the rest of the album matches the firepower of this lead single, Sabaton are poised to conquer once again.
