Jace Media Music Single Review by Glen Parkes
Greece’s darkwave darlings Paradox Obscur return with their hypnotic new single Lose This Feeling—a pulsing, synth-laden dreamscape that pulls you under and refuses to let go. Out now via Metropolis Records, the track marks the first taste of their upcoming 2025 album IKONA, and it’s an irresistible invitation back into their shadowy sonic world.
Formed in 2014, Kriistal Ann and Toxic Razor have carved a niche for themselves in the global electronic underground, blending vintage hardware synth textures with modern production finesse. Their sound is unmistakable: brooding, romantic, and danceable in a way that evokes both the past and the future.
Lose This Feeling rides on a hypnotic bassline, soaring synth hooks, and Kriistal Ann’s mesmerizing vocals, which drip with both melancholy and allure. There’s a retro-futuristic elegance to the track, echoing the best of coldwave and early EBM while adding a distinctly modern sheen. The accompanying video, released alongside the single, adds a layer of art-house intensity, featuring strobe-heavy visuals and shadowplay that perfectly capture the mood of the music.
With IKONA on the horizon, Paradox Obscur are clearly setting the stage for a bold new chapter. If this track is anything to go by, the duo are poised to expand their sound while staying true to the underground roots that made them cult favourites.
