Canadian Roots-Rock-Soul collective Bywater Call light up 2025 with their first single of the year—“Sunshine” (Live)—a radiant, groove-soaked burst of energy that captures the magic of a band firing on all cylinders. Released on May 9th, this marks their first official live recording, and it arrives with perfect timing ahead of their headline UK tour this November.

Frontwoman Meghan Parnell absolutely shines here—her voice equal parts velvet and fire, teetering between playful quirks and gut-punch emotion. You can hear the room react to her presence, and it’s a joy to be swept up in it. The rest of the band are just as compelling—tight as ever, yet letting loose in the best way possible. Their chemistry is undeniable, each member adding colour and flavour without overpowering the whole.
