Plaiins – Happy Faces – Single Review – holdtightpr

Review By Darren McIntyre

Plaiins are a fiery, punk, indie rock outfit who originally came to our attention in late 2020, the boys have been drilling down and honing their skills which has allowed them to share the stage with the likes of ITCHY, Cold Years, LEAP, Press Club and many more. The boys have already dropped 20 singles to date and 2024 sees the boys sign to Long Branch Records and on the 15th August they will deliver their debut album Happy Faces, from that new release comes lead track Happy Faces which I will be bringing you today.

Happy Faces – A cool funky, punchy rhythm section gets things underway as the shredding, crisp guitar riffs rain down on us as this foot tapping groover springs into life. The vocals are a speaking tone that works well with the arrangement as the boys build their groove through this Indie tone that is really getting you up on your feet as they punchy, swagger laden track just builds and builds as the boys give us what we came for, this is a fast, furious, groove laden number that certainly grabs your attention as it showcases the versatility of this exciting 4 piece as they take us through this killer, funky bassline driven track that just puts a smile on your face for sure.
