Review By Darren McIntyre
Tempest Saint are a 4-piece metal band hailing from Greater London who formed in 2023. The band takes its inspiration from bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest & Skid Row. The boys are about to release their debut album, Hyperbolised, and bring us their new single, The Cursed, which I will be reviewing for you today. With the release of the album, the boys are finishing the year off in style with a flurry of shows in the UK. Miss them at your peril.
itsThe Cursed – A shredding, power riffed guitar lick opens the track as a thundering rhythm section brings the heat with a pounding bass kick that lets this monster come to life. The melodic vocals are leaning in and really work well with this foot stomping, galloping guitar that is hitting us from all sided with it’s raw, edgy power, the full on funking bassline drops in and wraps itself around us with dark, delicious grooves that really give the track depth, swagger and a real ballsy beat. The whole track is a rousing, metal driven arrangement that hits us with a swashbuckling solo that is kicking ass and taking names as the rousing beast leaves its mark upon us. The punchy rhythm section is commanding the room with it’s fast, furious beats that really give this track the ammo it needs to really deliver.
