BLACK STONE CHERRY TEAM UP WITH THEORY OF A DEADMAN’S TYLER CONNOLLY FOR COVER OF ‘DON’T YOU (FORGET ABOUT ME)’
CELEBRATE EP DUE 6TH MARCH VIA MASCOT RECORDS
‘AN EVENING WITH’ UK TOUR DATES NOW ON SALE
Hailing from Kentucky, USA, BLACK STONE CHERRY are gearing up to release their upcoming EP Celebrate. Due for release on 6th March via Mascot Records, the Southern rocking quartet have shared their latest offering in the form of a swinging cover of the Simple Mind’s classic ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’. If that didn’t sound special and nostalgic enough, they’ve also enlisted the help of long-time Black Stone friend Tyler Connolly of the band Theory Of A Deadman.
On the new single and collaboration, vocalist and guitarist Chris Robertson comments:
“Growing up a kid born in the mid 80s I have seen the breakfast club more times than I can remember. One of my favourite parts of the movie was always the music and specifically “don’t you”! So when the chance for us to Black Stone Cherrify the track emerged it was a no brainer. We are beyond excited to share that we enlisted the help of our dear friend Tyler Connolly to help out.”
Pre-order the Celebrate EP HERE.
The group recently released the video for the title track ‘Celebrate,’ which imparts the heart-warming advice to “celebrate every little thing in life, even if it’s just making it through the day.”
The video of ‘Neon Eyes’, also included on the EP, follows them on a typical day in the life of a band on the road, as they arrive for their stunning headline performance at the 2025 Maid of Stone Festival in the UK – a taster of what you can expect to experience on their 2026 tour.
Produced by the band themselves, Celebrate is an EP of contrasts; from a dreamily woozy, Nirvana-laced grunge singalong with ‘I’m Fine‘, and personal heartache with ‘Deep‘, to a curveball cover of the Simple Minds classic ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)‘, featuring guest vocals from old Black Stone friend Tyler Connolly (Theory Of A Deadman).
| BLACK STONE CHERRY recently shared plans for a massive headline tour of the UK lasting nearly a month. The special “An Evening With” shows will follow their recently-announced EU tour, and will call through Nottingham, Margate, Norwich, Manchester, Dublin, Cork, Belfast, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Cardiff, Torquey, and Frome, before culminating in two shows in London. The evening will include two separate sets from the southern rockers, playing their legendary 2006 self-titled debut LP in full (marking its 20th anniversary), and a second set of long-time classics and new songs off the upcoming EP, Celebrate. Tickets are on-sale now HERE. An exclusive t-shirt and ticket bundle is also available for fans in England, Scotland, and Wales. Talking about the tour, the band say: “We cannot wait to come back to the UK and celebrate with all of our Cherry Heads across so many different cities! Touring overseas is such a thrill and exciting thing for us and we will absolutely bring the energy and vibe with us to every stop on the tour! Plus, new music! Love you and see you soon!” |
