Bad Touch – Live – The Cathouse – badtouch

Bad Touch are a 5 – piece rock n roll juggernaut from Norfolk, England who burst onto the scene in 2009. The boys have gone from strength to strength performing both locally and nationally, they won Best Live Act 2012 @ Exposure Music Awards, HRH 2012. The boys have given us Down & Out in 2013, Half Way Home in 2015, Truth Be Told in 2016, Shake A Leg in 2018, Kiss The Sky in 2020 & Bittersweet Satisfaction in 2023, all this on top of bringing in a couple of new members that have settled in well. The boys are touring all over the place and tonight they roll into Glasgow @ The Cathouse to wet our whistles for some new music they bring their electrifying show to the fine folk of Glasgow, as the crowd take their place the house PA fades and their intro music booms from the speakers as the boys take their rightful place on the hallowed stage and launch into –

Come A Little Closer – The place starts rockin from the first note as the boys hit the ground running as this rock n roll groover kicks in the doors and really gets us moving. The twin guitar assault is just awesome as ‘ Seeks ‘ & Pete feed off each other as the killer bassline drops in as Bailey brings the heat with his dark, delicious grooves that let this track come at us, the rhythm section is controlling the groove from the back of the room as the solid snare drum punches combine well with this rocking monster that is getting the crowd all up and feeling the love from the boys as Stevie leans in and lets his soaring blues rocking vocals take the roof off of the Cathouse tonight, we are feeling the love from the boys as they tell us that they love coming to Scotland as we know how to party weather it’s a Monday, Tuesday or a Wednesday and the crowd bellows back as we stroll into –

Don’t Look Back – Cowbell fills the air as this track gets it’s first outing as gutsy guitar licks are oozing from the stage as the boys bring us a taste of what’s to come from the boys. Stevie brings us his killer gravelly vocals that flow effortlessly through the arrangement  as the deep, funking bassline hits us with killer tones that are just awesome, this track really cuts the mustard as the thundering rhythm section is giving us all it has as the boys are smiling from ear to ear as they look out and see all the smiling faces as we feel the heat oozing from this fantastic new track. The boys are bouncing all over the stage as they let us know that they have been away too long and are pleased to be back, the place is just buzzing from the energy, swagger and smiles coming from the boys as they roll into –

Good On Me – Stevie has a chat with us and says he is taking his shades off as ‘ It’s nightime & I’m inside which brings a huge roar from the crowd, Stevie is chatting shit and says we need to sing with him as the track comes to life as the rhythm section brings a punchy snare drum beat that is flowing freely through the intro as the low end drops in with sweet, mellow funk grooves as the boys settle into their stride and really let us have it. The vocals are strong, mellow and really let the crowd know that they are happy to be here as slide guitar licks erupt and let this monster show itself, the tempo is banging away and giving the crowd what they came for tonight as Stevie gets us to sing with him, they are trying but failing miserably. the place is rockin and rollin as they boys lead us into

Nothing Wrong With That – A cool punchy  groove opens the track as Stevie brings his epic vocals to the Cathouse as we feel the melodies flow through the track. The bassline comes in and hits us with real cool, funk laden grooves as the boys go through the gears as this rocking bruiser really builds with a slick, crisp guitar salvo, we get a pounding bass kick that just gives the track depth, swagger and bags of attitude as the boys bring their A-Game to us tonight as the place is swaying from side to side as the track just puts a smile on our faces. The cool guitar solo flows from the stage as we feel the melodies wrapping themselves around us as the track leads into a sing song as the boys step back and let us do our thing before a thundering drum solo raises the roof as Brad unleashes his inner Animal and he really attacks the kit with sheer gusto as we watch in awe as he covers every skin on his kit. The place goes mental as he just delivers a no nonsense solo that is just awesome, we stroll into

Lift Your Head Up – A cool, slick guitar riff opens the track as Stevie brings the song to us with his awesome vocals that are wrapped in a thundering rhythm section that just brings the heat. The boys are in full flow as they bounce all over the stage and let us feel the full force of this 5 piece juggernaut that is giving us all they have tonight, the bass is dropping in with mellow, funk laden grooves that really let this track breathe. We are watching these boys do their thing and just smile as they are bringing us a good time tonight to us as we feel the energy oozing from the stage that tells us that they are really enjoying themselves tonight, we holler and shout loudly as the boys stride into

Skyman – A thundering rhythm section erupts with killer cymbal crashes that come armed with deep, pounding snare drum beats that just get the track moving. The soaring, gravelly vocals give the track a nice solid footing as the boys let rip with a twin guitar salvo that just gives this track a rockin, gritty groove as the boys bring the heat, the place is just loving the way the boys give us a real heavy, pounding well oiled show that shows no signs of slowing down as the rhythm section controls the groove from the back of the room as we feel the energy pouring from the stage as the place goes nuts for this 5 piece outfit, we are treated to the awesome –

Let The Sun Shine – The guys come at us with cool backing vocals as this foot stomping rocker comes to life as the rhythm section brings the funk with a cool bass kick as the snare drum punches rain down on us. The vocals are smooth, gravelly and really melodic as Stevie tells his own story with his soulful swagger as he tips his hat to as as this rocking beast rolls through the Cathouse tonight, the bassline is handing us cool, meaty funk grooves that wrap themselves around this fast paced beast that just puts a smile on your face as the place really gets in to this short, sharp rock n roll monster that leads us into –

I Get High – A real bluesy sludgy guitar riff erupts as Seeks brings the swagger to this foot stomping monster as the boys bring the groove to Glasgow tonight. The rhythm section is bringing the heat as the punchy snare drum beats come at us with a real sultry groove as the boys let their voices deliver a killer track that really unfolds right in front of us, the guitar licks are slick, crisp and really deliver a mellow tone that really gets the place moving as the boys join in and get the place rocking and a rolling with ease. The vocals are strong with a gravelly tone that allows Stevie to slip in and deliver a real blues soaked tone that really grabs our attention as we watch in awe as a slick mellow solo pours from the stage and tells us that these boys are the real deal and they cannot wait to deliver us some new music, we are hurtling through the set and roll into –

99% – A kick ass snare drum beat gets this banger off the ground as Stevie leans in with his killer blues soaked vocals that allow this track to come to life. The dark, full on bassline is coming through and handing us cool funk tones that work so well with this slick sweet arrangement as the place really gets into the groove with the boys as they rock out and put a smile on our faces tonight, the punchy rhythm section is hitting us with solid, pounding grooves that really let this toe tapping groover wash over us as we rock out with the boys as a sweet, melodic guitar solo slides in and really delivers a no nonsense lick that is getting us all hot and bothered as the tempo changes with a cymbal crash that really opens the rhythm section as Brad delivers a cymbal laden beat that lets us stroll into –

Let Go – A cool slick riffed intro flows well with the bass kicks that accompany this foot stomping rock n roller as Stevie brings his colossal vocals to this meaty groover. The twin guitar riffs are just awesome as the boys let rip and give us a cool, shredding riff that lets the bassline drop in and hit us with sweet, mellow grooves which tell us Bailey is on his game tonight as the boys rip through this blues laden rock track as the cymbal crashes rain down on us as we let the tempo change pace as the boys are asking the question – how are we feeling Cathouse as a sweet, crisp solo rings out and really delivers a no thrills set that has been awesome let me tell you, the boys say they are not going off to come back on as they dive into the classic Alanis Morisette track –

Hand In My Pocket – The rocking tack comes at us as Stevie lets his gravelly, rasping vocals lead the way as this iconic track bursts into life as the crunching riffs lead the way. The rhythm section is hitting us with solid snare drum punches that bring a bass kick and cymbal crashes that just let the track breathe as we feel the energy ooze from the stage, the classic tune is just flowing freely through the venue as we feel the riffs wrap themselves around us. The bassline is hitting us with real delicious grooves that just elevate this track with it’s depth and intensity, we come to the last track of the evening in the form of –

This Life / Baby Get It On – The rhythm seat us with cool cowbell beats that work well with a bass kick that really gets the crowd moving for sure. The slick gritty guitar riffs are filling the air as Stevie brings his awesome vocals to this fist pumping rock n roll bruiser that has got us all moving and a grooving for sure, the bassline drops in and gives us a real funky, full on groove that just puts a smile on our faces as we feel the energy oozing from the stage as the boys set about their business and really give us a killer last track that tells us what these boys are all about as the finishing salvo comes in and really gets our heads nodding with the rocking riffs that are flowing freely through Glasgow tonight as the boys finish off in style.
