WinterStorm marks its tenth anniversary with three separately ticketed gigs at Troon Concert Hall, from a Wednesday night of Rollermania to a Sunday family party and a fully seated Pink Floyd finale.
WinterStorm started in 2016 with a Friday night and a Saturday of live music. Ten years on, the Troon festival spans five days, with three shows before and after its classic rock programme giving music fans across Ayrshire another reason to head to the Concert Hall this November.
The Bay City Rollers get things started on Wednesday 25 November. Woody and the band bring the tartan and the singalongs back for Before the ’Storm, a night for anyone who remembers Rollermania or grew up hearing those songs at home.
On Sunday 29 November, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five bring their family-friendly festival party indoors for an afternoon of dancing, singalongs and plenty of yellow. That evening, Scottish Pink Floyd tribute MacFloyd closes the five days with a fully seated show for fans who like their Sunday nights a little more prog.
WinterStorm organiser Ian McCaig said:
“We started with a Friday night and a Saturday ten years ago, and now we’ve got five days of live music in Troon. We’ve got rock fans coming from across the UK and Europe, and we wanted to put on shows that would give more people from Troon and across Ayrshire a reason to come along too.
“Woody and the Rollers have a crowd all of their own, Colonel Mustard is a chance to bring the family and have a dance on a Sunday afternoon, and then you can sit down and spend the evening with the music of Pink Floyd. It’s great to have three such different gigs in the same hall in the space of five days. That’s good for Troon and good for Ayrshire.”
WinterStorm’s tenth-anniversary rock programme runs from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 November. All three Before and After the ’Storm shows take place at Troon Concert Hall and can be booked individually without a festival pass.
Tickets are available through Skiddle or via WinterStorm Presents.
