Kit Trigg are a 3 piece skate rock outfit who are paving their way into the rock world with hook laden tracks that hit us with energy driven lyrics that has allowed them to share the stage with the likes of Marisa & The Moths, Muddy Waters Jr, Nick Oliveri, The Dust Coda & These Wicked Rivers. The boys have also graced the boards of many festivals and has their own headline shows and given us a slew of singles and killer EP Goin For Glory, the boys are doing a special in- store appearance @ HMV Glasgow so let me dive straight in on this killer live show, first up comes –

Show Em What You’re Made Of – The track kicks in with a pounding rhythm beat that gets this cool show off the ground as the snare drum punches echo all around the store as the boys kick off. We are getting a funky deep bassline that is wrapping itself around this stripped back number as Kit lets his vocals do the talking as this foot stomping kick ass track warms us up as the boys settle into their groove, the guys are really bringing the heat to the store are we are stamping our feet and feeling the funk element flow from the stage as the guys hit us with their infectious tone that I am new too and must admit that these boys are rather tasty, up next –

Makin It – Again we get the fuzzy bassline dropping in and really letting us feel the energy oozing from this energetic 3 piece as they set out their stall and bring us a real cool stripped down track. The rhythm section is controlling the room with cymbal crashes that let the snare drum punches come for us as the boys deliver a smile laden set that has us intreagued as these boys own the stage and really give us something special today, the acoustic / semi electric solo is just cool and really captures the essence of these boys as they let their groove take us on the journey with them as they bring us a real funky , energy filled set, Kit thanks us for coming out to support them as we see a little rocker down the front really enjoying their music, up next –

Light At The End Of The Tunnel – A real in your face groover that kicks off with a rousing vocal that sets the scene as the boys kick it up a notch or two with a real grungy feel to this fist pumping groover. Kit lets his roaring vocals get us underway as the funking basslinr drops sweet, funky, mellow grooves all over this kick ass arrangement, the rhythm section is coming through with a solid snare drum beat as the cymbal crashes rain down on us as they ramp up the heat with a real tasty groover that is short, sharp and does exactly what is says on the tin. The boys are certainly growing in stature with a real swagger that has certainly got them noticed, coming at us next –

Go With The Flow – A ballad of sorts that lets Kit come in with a real soulful tone that just stops us in our tracks as we feel the emotion oozing from the stage right now. The sweet soothing guitar licks are really elevating this track as it just flows and opens up to really showcase this exciting 3 piece as they continue to surprise us with their classy lyrics and sweet chords that just allow us to flow off to another place as we feel the depth, emotion of this powerful ballad that is building and building as Kit brings a solo that is just awesome. The boys are really getting into their groove now as they give us all they have, next up –

Down To Earth – Coming at us is a real southern groove with funky lyrics and a cool punchy tone that really brings this track to life with it’s cool rapper style tones that are covered in a punchy snare drum kick. The guitar licks are working their way through this fantastic track as we get a cool deep bassline that just wraps itself around this gritty rocker track, the boys are warming up nicely and really giving us what we came for as the tracks are fresh, funky and full of depth as Kit & the boys bring a real cool set that showcases their talent that is just shining through in spades as they give us a real selection of funky, fresh material that is gonna take them far for sure, next up –

Snake In The Grass – A cool guitar lick leads the way as a pounding bass kick lets this track breathe as we get accapella tones from the guys as this cool number comes through. Kit again comes at us with funky lyrics that just let the track flow freely through the store as the boys come in with a fantastic rhythm section that lets the cymbal crashes fill the air as the foot stomping bassline hands us meaty funk grooves that really shine. The track is a real grungy, groover with solid credentials that firmly fix these boys as ones to watch as they shred their way through their set and deliver tracks that make you want to punch the air and feel the energy oozing from this classy 3 piece, coming up –

Big Chill – A nice gritty guitar groove flows from the stage as cymbal snaps fill the air as Kit lets his smooth vocals let this track break free and let us get into the groove as the cymbal crashes rain down on us. The cool, slick, clean grooves bring us a punchy snare drum beat that lets the track breathe. The soothing vocals are letting the track open as we watch and feel the energy oozing from the boys as they smile from ear to ear as they watch us grooving along to their catchy, fist pumping songs as we just want more from this energetic 3 piece as they drop sweet bassline chops all through the arrangement that just lifts the tone of the track, we are roaring through their set and find ourselves at the business end of their set as they hit us with –

Proud Mary  – The boys pull out a classic in the form of Tina Turner’s classic that gets us all excited as we await the punchy groove to kick in. Kit lets his soulful vocals off the leash as he lets the boys sit for a second as he takes the track onwards as the groove catches us as the backing vocals flow freely into the track as we get kicked in the face with the fast paced, funk laden rocker track that is just the perfect way to finish off this well oiled in store visit that has brought them some new fans for sure.

Goin For Glory – A cool mellow vocal flows into the stage as the boys bring it down a notch with this sweel version that allows the snare drum punches to come through as the sweet guitar brings the track to life. The funking bassline is handing us a real cool beat as the guitar licks wrap themselves around this fresh little track that is just a nice way to round off this surprise in store gig, the boys have had a real nice time as they have really given their all as the crowd just sways along with this finishing number that really lets Kit belt out the vocals which are just awesome.
