Before the show Damian was out in the street greeting the punters before the doors opened and thanked them all for coming. The place is filling up nicely as the light dim and the intro music fills the night air as Damian strolls onto the hallowed stage to rapturous applause as he opens with –
Homegrown – The night comes to life as Damian walks up to the mic and gets us underway with an acoustic evening that just came to life with his powering vocals that reached every corner of this iconic building. The track is a real emotion filled arrangement that is made all the better as this charismatic musician is doing it justice, sometimes with acoustic nights it is difficult to really feel the true feeling that is coming from the artist but tonight there is no such problem, Everyone is standing motionless as Damian takes us on a journey that sucks you in and lets you feel the musicality that is oozing from the stage tonight, up next –
Written In Anger – Damian strums on his guitar as this melodic number bursts into life as the crowd are watching every look on his face as we really get into this journeyman musician. The vocals are stunning as theyreally deliver in every sense as he powers through and just smashes the night with real powerful lyrics that will resonate with many people in tonight’s crowd, there is a real mellow tone to this guy as it is effortless the way he conducts himself on the stage as he brings a certain symphonic feel to The Garage as his mesmerising vocals are just telling their own story as the acoustic strumming really soothes us as we feel every word that is coming at us, the place is warming to this towering musician as he is proving to be hugely popular as we move onto –
Thrill Me – The track comes at us with a sweet cool acoustic strumming tone that is accompanied by Damian’s incredible vocals and remember there is no place to hide with acoustic night’s. The chords are oozing from the stage as we feel the lyrics wrap themselves around us on this cold Glasgow night that is being made that little better by the colossal vocals that we are witnessing tonight, the place is swaying from side to side ad Damian really delivers a killer vocals that has sweet guitar chords for company. The place is better tonight for having such a talented musician gracing the stage as he just brings effortless music and banter that is being well received by us Scottish folk tonight, he brings a little light hearted humour to tonight’s proceedings as he has a tote bag filled with goodies (of a sort), chocolate coins are being thrown into the crowd as his way of thanking us for coming out before we roll into –
Array Of Lights – Damian tunes up and lets us feel the lyrics as they pour from the stage as he digs deep and pulls out the big guns in the form of this beautiful song that really grabs at your heart. People may not be familiar with this guy but after tonight I think he may have some more fans in his camp as he has really delivered with cool songs with meaning, depth, emotion and just snippets of genius that really push him into the limelight as he really brings the stage to life with his powering vocals that has everyone standing still as he goes through the motions and just nails every note, coming at us is something special –
I Won’t Blame Life(acappella) – Damian steps forward and comes away from the mic in what I can only describe as a magical experience as he leaves everthing on the stage and goes rogue. This is a special song that just stops you in your tracks as it really touches you as Damian just saunters through the emotion packed track that is just something magical, the place is silent as we feel every note coming at us right now and I can tell you that this is a real cool thing doing acappella as it leaves no stone unturned as we hear every note, good or bad, every lyric that just bring this song so much love as Damian’s incredible vocals really deliver big time, sadly we are at the last track of his slot as we roll into –
Seek For Adventure – Damian tunes up his guitar before he steps up to the mic to take us through his last track of tonight’s incredible show as he thanks us for coming to see him and make him feel welcome. The strumming begins as he bellows out his incredible vocals that just let this tracl flow freely through the venue as we just listen in silence to this awesome musician as he really gives it his all, the track again has emotion attached to it as we feel the mesmerising lyrics wrap themselves around us and let us take the journey with him as he tells a magical story that just builds and builds as he readies us for an emotional finish to this truly wonderful evening of wonderful songs that were beautifully executed by this fantastic musician as he bids us farewell.
