Tower Of Babel – Rules Of Silence – Single Review – duffpress

Tower Of Babel are an impressive line up of musicians led by six – string shredder Joe Stump who is lead guitarist of rock band Alcatrazz & associate Professor of music @ Berklee College Of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. The boys brought us their debut album Lake Of Fire in 2017 and take it a step further with their riff driven 10 song stomper Days Of Thunder, to wet our appetites for the new album the boys drop killer single Rules Of Silence which I will be reviewing for you today.

Rules Of Silence – There is a cool resemblence of early Rainbow in this fist pumping rock classic that just kicks in the doors from the off as the foot stoping monster grabs your attention. We have the thundering rhythm section that hits us with a killer bass kick / snare drum combo that just gets the juices flowing as the rasping power vocals rain down on us as this epic arrangement comes to life, the full on low end bassline is dropping killer grooves all through the track as we face off with a real slick, clean guitar solo as Joe melts some faces with his phenomenal fingerwork that just sets this track on fire. The mellow keys are littered throughout the track and add depth and mystery to the composition as the cool, mesmerising tempo just punches us straight in the face with it’s energy, swagger and punchy attitude, we are getting well thought out riffs that just wrap themselves all over this killer track that will have us reaching for the repeat button for sure.
