Us,Conquer Divide are a 4 – piece Metalcore / Post Hardcore / Alternative metal band originally from Michigan, USA but are scattered between the UK, USA & Canada and who formed in 2013. The band like most have gone through some line – up changes and a small hiatus but they have always kept the music their main focus as they stride for world domination, the band have given us Conquer Divide in 2015, Slow Burn in 2023, EP New Heaven in 2023 along with 15 singles. The band are currently working on a new album slated for release sometime in 2026, to wet our appetites they deliver us a haunting, melodic new single, The Ocean Between Us which I will be reviewing for you today.
The Ocean Between Us – The haunting, melodic track begins with sweet, clean guitar picks as the thundering rhythm section kicks in the doors with a killer double bass kick as the snare drum beats flow freely through the intro. The track erupts with a furious guitar riff that lets Kiarely bring her rasping vocals to let this monster open up and give us chills; the funky low end is dropping in and letting the tone wrap itself around us as we feel the energy rise in this hauntingly beautiful number that tells us Conquer Divide are back and back with a bang. The slick, sizzling twin guitar licks are flowing effortlessly and weaving their way through the melodic number as we feel the groove come at us; the thundering rhythm section is just hitting us with solid beats that really elevate the offering. The colossal vocals are just insane, as Kiarely delivers a full-on vocal assault that instantly grabs your attention from the outset.
