Phoebe Jane is an independent country/blues artist based in Devon, UK, who is known for her rich, soulful vocals and timeless bluesy edge. Phoebe began her career as the house band singer at the iconic Mama Stones; this is where she first honed her signature sound & stage presence. Since then, Phoebe has performed as a backing vocalist for the Kris Barras Band & now fronts Hollow Souls as lead singer. Blending heartfelt country storytelling with the raw emotion of the blues, she continues to carve her own path through the UK music scene with grit, soul & undeniable authenticity. Phoebe brings us her storming new single, On My Way, which I will be reviewing for you today.
On My Way – The track opens with a cool, mellow guitar lick that brings a sizzling Hammond-style tone that instantly settles us into this toe-tapping blues/country groover. The rhythm section is bringing us a punchy snare drum beat that has bass kicks that let the groove roll freely through the arrangement; the sultry, delicious bassline drops in with a killer tone that wraps itself around this incredible piece of music as Phoebe unleashes her sultry, blues-soaked vocals that just take us with her on this journey. The crisp guitar licks flow freely through the midsection as a clean, melodic solo ripples freely to allow the killer backing vocals to take the track to another level as we feel the incredible vocals take us to somewhere new. It is like walking into a jazz/blues club and just feeling the raw emotion-filled vocals grab your attention as the incredible tone wraps itself around you to let us feel the mesmerising groove that is woven into this epic composition.
