Lauren Tate, aka Delilah Bon, is a singer/songwriter/rapper/producer/hip-hopper from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, who was the former frontwoman of Hands Of Gretel and now currently releases music under the pseudonym Delilah Bon. Lauren has been active since 2013 and showcases her genre in music, which includes 2000s style, hip-hop, melodic rap & nu-metal. Delilah has released Delilah Bon in 2021 & Evil Hate-Filled Female in 2024, along with 16 singles & EPs. As Lauren Tate, she has given us 3 albums, 2 singles & 4 MP3 releases. Lauren is currently on tour with her Princeless Princess tour, and tonight she drops into Glasgow to bring her rocking, grungy vibes to Slay. Princeless Princess – We have a spoken lyrical intro as Lauren brings this exciting, thrilling get-together underway as the packed-out crowd gets into the groove as the rhythm section gets in our faces with a killer cymbal beat as the band leans in with cool tones. There is a real grungy, hip-hop tone oozing from the stage as Delilah lets her unmistakeable vocals lead the charge in this crunching rockathon as the place starts jumping up and down and bellowing out the chorus as the place just erupts into life as the gig kicks in the doors and lets us know that Delilah Bon and band have arrived and they are here to cause havoc but bring a smile to your face at the same time. The stage is awash with flowers and killer pink flickering lights as the blue-haired ball of energy bounces around the stage and really lights up the venue with her empowering, melodic vocals as she leads us straight into –


Brat – Delilah chats about her regret on her choice of outfits as she lets the band bring the hip hop to Glasgow tonight, as this foot-stomping rock bruiser really puts a smile on your face. The shredding guitar riffs are pouring from the stage as the funky, dark, brooding bassline wraps itself around this sold-out crowd tonight as the place is just jumping up and down with sheer joy as this killer gig gathers pace as Delilah rips through the lyrics and really gets us all fired up with these thought-provoking lyrics that just let the crowd make their feelings known to Delilah & her band. The energy is reaching boiling point already, and we are only two songs in, and I will admit that this is something new for me, but a real surprise as Delilah chats with us and tells us of her pleasure at bringing smiles to people’s faces as the crowd bellows back as we lean into –


Villain – Delilah tells us about how she got banned at school for putting up her middle finger during singing, and got banned from school for her antics as the hip-hop vibe oozes from the stage. The funky, groove-laden lyrics let the band bring the groove to this toe-tapping beast as the place starts waving their arms from side to side, as this awesome groove grabs a hold of us. The musicality is just off the scale as Delilah takes the crowd with her on this little gem of a track that just grabs our attention as the noise level reaches fever pitch, as we sway from side to side and feel the energy coming for us tonight. I Don’t Listen To You – A dark, heavy piano backing intro slides into the track as a rasping, heavy guitar riff eases towards us, as the snare drum punches fill the air, as the band come at us with sheer rasping energy. The cool, rapper-style vocals reach every corner of the venue as Delilah gets down and dirty with us as the tempo changes, groove as the screamer vocals flow freely through the track and really grab our attention. I Am The Best – Delilah comes at us with another chat about how if you are down on her, she will come back stronger, and we feel that as she launches into this groove-laden rapper-style tone. The bassline is dropping in and really giving the track depth, swagger and bags of attitude as the place is just singing back to the band as they take us on a hip hop, rapper style journey as I am just looking at all the smiling faces that are around me tonight, the rhythm section is commanding the room with a cool, punchy tone that allows Delilah to drop in with a sweet, melodic rapper tone that fits the arrangement perfectly. Chop Dicks – Delilah chats to us and tells us that more women need to speak up, as she tells the girls You need to chop more dicks, which brings a huge cheer from the crowd as we get into the groove. A dark, meaty, funk laden bassline pours from the stage as Becky drops in with a real sludgy, delicious groove that lets the snare drum punches grab our attention, the cool rapper style vocals work well with the audience as they sing along with this awesome musician as she leaves her heart on her sleeve with this funky, thought provoking tune that has us stamping our feet with sheer joy as the funky, dark groove grabs our attention as the crowd joins in and sings along with this pumped up groove as we stroll into


Cinderella – The crowd are just reaching fever pitch as Delilah chats about the new song that is off her new record, as the crunching guitar riffs fill the air, as this foot stomper comes to life. The rhythm section is bringing the groove as the cool, lyrics roll from the stage as we let Delilah offload with her real life lyrics that flow effortlessly through the venue as the place is just reaching boiling point as we stamp our feet to this dark, brooding, thought provoking number that instantly sticks in your head as we sing along to this rap infused, hip hop bruiser that lets Delilah bring her thoughts to life as the crowd really get into the track and sing with her as she asks us to raise our voices as we roll into

Clown – The cool, dark backing track rolls onto the stage as Delilah wanders around and waves at the crowd as a funky, dark, brooding bassline opens the track up. The track is a real spoken word type of track that lets the thundering rhythm section kick things off with cymbal crashes that grab our attention as the place sways from side to side as the lights flash furiously with a multi coloured affair as the band bring the noise with this foot stomping rocker style ballad, rap infused piece that lets Delilah bring her awesome lyrics to this cool number as the crowd sing back to her as the tempo changes pace again and lets us catch our breath as the lyrics open up and really bring the noise to Glasgow, up next

I Wish A Bitch Would – Delilah chats with us again and asks us what we think of the Police, this brings a huge boo from the crowd as we shift through the gears and crash into this thought-provoking track. The crowd are singing back to the band as the crunching guitar riffs work alongside a funky, dark bassline as this hip hop style groover opens and really lets us have it, the lyrics are a real eye opener as Delilah lays her heart out for this foot stomping beast really grabs our attention. The heavy ended groover is getting the crowd all worked up as they sing along, dance around and really let the track wrap itself around them as they cut free and let the punchy rhythm take them away on the journey with the band as they get all up in our faces and really deliver a kick ass track that lets the crowd bellow back as we roll into –

Maverick – The track erupts into life as a real, meaty, funk laden bassline drops in and really allows the track to breath as the rapper, hip hop maverick, comes at us. The crunching guitar riffs are flowing effortlessly alongside a rhythm section that is letting the snare drum punches wander freely through the track as the heavy ended end-of-the-bassline hits us with a real cool, dark, delicious tone that is just awesome. The place is going bonkers as Delilah wanders about the crowd and really brings them into her world as we party hard and really get into this killer night of music that has certainly opened my eyes to the hip hop, rap genre that has been brought to us tonight. We roll into a real thought-provoking number –
Dead Men Don’t Rape – Delilah chats with us and tells us that we don’t need to keep things to ourselves, as the crowd shouts back as this real groover track comes at us. The chorus comes at us as the whole place bellows back ‘Dead Men Don’t Rape as the whole venue really gets into the thread of this fantastic rasping bruiser as we feel the energy rise in the room tonight, the crubching guitar riffs are pouring from the stage as the cymbal crashes rain down on us as the snare drum punches hit us straight in the face. The dark, delicious, meaty bassline is telling it’s own story as Becky jumps around the stage and just gives us a real bruising tone that works well with this anthemic number, the tempo changes pace several times throughout the track but this adds depth, attitude and swagger to this fist pumping tone that has everyone shouting back the chorus as we finish off tonight’s show in style or so we thought, the band leave the stage and let us catch our breath before they return to brin g us –
Evil, Hate Filled Female – The crowd are bellowing out Here We, Here We, Here We Fucking Go as a sweet, melodic backing track opens the track as the rhythm section kicks in the doors with a thundering snare / bass combo that is finished with cymbal crashes that really let the track breath. The bassline is dropping in and really letting the tone weave it’s way through this foot stomping rap infused number as the place goes nuts as Delilah screams out with her awesome vocals as the place just sways from side to side as this funky, cool number leads us onto the finishing number of this epic show tonight as Delilah thanks us for coming out and supporting her and the band as we stroll into –
Bush – The last track is upon us as Delilah chats about not baving a round stage as she is always going to one side of the stage as we chat about pubic hairs lol. The shredding, power raged guitar riffs grab our attention as the dark, brooding bassline hits us with a cool groove as the rapping prowess of Delilah rolls through the venue, the tempo changes pace several times as the soaring vocals let the venue bellow back at us as the place is just jumping around and getting into the swing of this enigmatic musician as she lets us know that she appreciates every single person that came to the show tonight. She asks us to start bouncing with her as the place goes mental and is jumping around and really letting her know that we appreciate tonight and what she brought to Glasgow.
