Review And Images By Paul McWilliams
Venturing into the vibrant heart of Leeds, tucked away down a nondescript street, lies Boom, a compact venue pulsating with energy. Amidst the anticipation, Waterlines took the stage, their presence promising an unforgettable night of metalcore mastery.

Prior to the gig, unfamiliar with the band, I embarked on a journey, fueling my excitement for what lay ahead. As the venue filled with eager enthusiasts, it became evident that this intimate space was about to witness something special.

From the first chord, Waterlines unleashed a torrent of raw energy, diving headfirst into their set with the ferocity of a tidal wave. The lead singer, a commanding force on stage, captivated the audience with their commanding presence, seizing every moment to engage and electrify.
The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the relentless onslaught of metalcore riffs ignited the room. Within moments, the mosh pit erupted into a swirling vortex of exhilaration, a testament to the band’s irresistible magnetism.

With an arsenal of tracks like “Sinister,” “Halo,” and “Prey,” Waterlines navigated the depths of their repertoire with finesse, each song a sonic journey through the depths of emotion and intensity. The setlist, meticulously curated, ebbed and flowed, leaving no soul untouched by its power.

In the aftermath of the final chord, as the echoes of their performance reverberated through the room, I found myself swept up in a whirlwind of adrenaline and exhilaration. Though I had entered with uncertainty, I departed with a certainty born of the sheer enjoyment that had coursed through me.

In retrospect, Water Lines had delivered an unforgettable performance, leaving an indelible mark upon the walls of Boom. And as I reflect upon the evening’s events, one thing remains clear – I eagerly await the next opportunity to witness their explosive artistry once more.
