Hollie Rogers’ new single “Some Kinda Lover” is one of those songs that feels super honest, like she’s saying the things people usually keep inside. It’s the first single from her upcoming album, Everything’s Fine, and it already feels like a big moment. You can tell this song came out fast and from real emotion, because it sounds raw but also really strong.
She’s called this her “angry song,” and you can hear that straight away, but it’s not messy or shouty. Her voice is seriously impressive. It’s powerful, clear, and full of feeling, and it blends perfectly with the music behind it. The instruments don’t overpower her; they just lift everything she’s singing and make the emotion hit harder.
The song feels direct and unapologetic, like she’s finally snapped and doesn’t care anymore. Knowing she left teaching to do music full-time makes this even cooler. If this is the start of Everything’s Fine, then it’s going to be an album worth waiting for in 2026.
