| Buy Tickets Now Steelhouse – the rock festival on top of a Welsh mountain – announces the first 13 acts for its 16th year. The event is set to take place over the weekend of the 23rd-25th of July 2027. In a UK festival exclusive, local heroes, FLORENCE BLACK take the opening night headline slot, while Northern powerhouses MASSIVE WAGONS finally make a welcome return – their first since 2019 – as Sunday special guests. Making his Steelhouse debut, MOTLEY CRUE guitar maestro JOHN 5 is confirmed to play with his band, THE CREATURES who, on this occasion will be fronted by their ‘partner in shock’, WEDNESDAY 13. This very special alliance will play a set that will include songs from 5’s stellar career with the likes of MARILYN MANSON, ROB ZOMBIE and DAVID LEE ROTH as well as the aforementioned CRUE. Also confirmed, bass supremo BILLY SHEEHAN is returning to Steelhouse, this time with his new outfit, THE FELL while British melodic rock institution FM make their first appearance on the mountain top since 2015. Elsewhere, the cream of fast-rising UK rock outfits including, JAYLER, THESE WICKED RIVERS, ASOMVEL, FIREHEART and AETHORIA will feature right across the weekend. Flying in from Pottsville, Pennsylvania on a filthy magic carpet of dirty groove is none other than the mighty CROBOT while Australian party crew SISTERS DOLL make their Steelhouse debut. There’s even country-rock crossover in the form of UK queen of the scene, KEZIA GILL. FLORENCE BLACK said, “It is an honour to headline Steelhouse! From our first appearance in 2017 to every time we’ve played since, this festival has always meant so much to us. As a Welsh band, headlining a Welsh festival so close to home makes it even more special. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We can’t wait to see you all up the mountain!” Reacting to his band’s return to The Mountain, MASSIVE WAGONS frontman BAZ MILLS states, “Last time we were up the mountain was 2019, and we’ve bloody missed the place! We’ve been all over Europe since then, but there’s something special about Steelhouse. One of the best rock festivals in the UK! The Steelhouse massive, the atmosphere, the killer line-ups, good friends and good times, it’s everything a rock festival should be. We can’t wait to get back up that mountain and make some noise! Roll on Steelhouse 2027!” Steelhouse organisers, Max and Mikey say, “we’re really buzzed with this first wave of SHXVI acts. There are legendary names, there’s the best of British and it’s always exciting to mix it up a touch, specifically this time with a true country-rock hybrid. And of course, as proud Welshmen, dialling ‘M’ for Merthyr and getting FLORENCE BLACK to, quite deservedly, headline the opening night gives us much, much joy. As with Those Damn Crows and Skindred before them, having a Welsh band at the top of the bill always makes for something unbelievably special and unique. It’s their only festival show next summer, we can’t overstate how powerful and emotional this Steelhouse set will be.” Firmly established as the UK’s premier and best value independent rock weekender, the 16th iteration of the event will again feature the ‘Mynydd Draig’ (Mountain Dragon) VIP big top and acoustic stage featuring exclusive performances across the weekend. VIP upgrades along with all other ticket types are available now. Payment plans are also available for weekend tickets and glamping packages – these are now limited. Day tickets are now also available. The Festival at the top of the mountain boasts not only the best views of any UK rock event but one of the most passionate, friendly and loyal followings. With a reputation for not only bringing in the biggest and best names from the international world of Rock, Steelhouse also understands the role it can play in throwing open its prestigious stage to the best of the new breed of bands. It all adds up to a compelling mix of classic and cutting-edge rock, old and new. SHXVI – Officially the House of Noise… |
