Alan Fletcher may be forever etched in the hearts of TV audiences as Dr. Karl Kennedy from Neighbours, a role he has played for nearly three decades, but in recent years he has been carving out an equally impressive path in music. With a deep love for storytelling rooted in folk and Americana traditions, Fletcher has become a familiar face on both the Australian and UK live circuits. Since releasing his acclaimed full-length album The Point in 2022, he has embraced touring life wholeheartedly, taking in intimate venues, festivals, and a 20-date UK run alongside Lachlan Bryan, Riley Catherall, and his wife and musical collaborator Jennifer Hansen. His shows capture the same charm and warmth that made him a household name on television, but with the added intimacy of raw, heartfelt songwriting influenced by greats like John Prine and Guy Clark.

Now, Fletcher is gearing up for another busy year. Alongside Hansen, he has just released the tender and spirited duet Tell ’Em, a song that highlights both their musical chemistry and their personal bond. In 2025, audiences can look forward to seeing Fletcher return to one of Australia’s most iconic music gatherings, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, before embarking on an extensive UK tour from July. Whether performing as a solo troubadour or sharing the stage with his band, Fletcher continues to build a reputation as a natural storyteller with a wry sense of humour and a compassionate eye for the human condition.
