I had the pleasure of seeing South of Salem perform at Kk’s steel mill on the “we are the dead and we are coming for you” tour and it was an experience I won’t forget anytime soon. As a Gothic rock band they brought a unique energy and style to the stage that truly captivated the audience. From the moment they stepped on stage, it was clear that they were ready to deliver an unforgettable performance.
Their setlist featured some of their most popular tracks, including “Vultures,” “Death of the Party,” and “Cold Day in Hell.” Each song showcased their talent and passion for music. “Let us prey” kicked off the show with a punch, instantly getting the crowd hyped. The haunting melodies and powerful lyrics resonated with everyone in the venue. Following soon after, “Hellbound heart” had an infectious rhythm that tore the roof off the venue.

South of Salem’s stage presence was a strong highlight of the night. Joey, the lead vocalist, made it a point to connect with the audience, coming down to sing amongst them. This interaction created an intimate atmosphere that made everyone feel welcomed and part of the experience. It’s not often you see a band that genuinely engages with their fans in such a meaningful way.
The band’s energy was contagious, and it was clear they were enjoying every moment on stage. Their passion for their music shone through in every note and throughout the night. The combination of their Gothic aesthetic and dynamic performance made for a visually stunning show that was full of energy from start to finish.

South of Salem is the band to watch. Their live performance was nothing short of incredible, leaving the audience wanting more. If you ever get the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it. Their ability to connect with fans and deliver powerful music makes them stand out in the rock scene.
Next to rock the stage was Wednesday 13, who are known for their unique blend of horror punk and glam metal, Wednesday 13 brought an energy to the stage that was both thrilling and captivating. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as fans eagerly awaited the band’s arrival.
Wednesday 13 were ready to deliver a hardcore performance. They kicked off the show in honour of a powerful 21 years of Murder dolls. Songs such as “197666” and “White wedding” were a strong nod to their legacy, and the crowd went wild as the heavy guitar riffs and catchy melodies filled the venue. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the rest of the night.
Throughout their set, as they played a variety of fan-favorite songs, the way Wednesday and his band performed was fresh and invigorating, breathing new life into a beloved group. The energy in the venue was palpable, with fans dancing and cheering, creating an electric atmosphere that made the concert feel even more special.
Wednesday 13’s theatrical stage presence showed off the bands horror-inspired look, with elaborate costumes and props that enhanced the overall experience. The visuals were striking, and it felt like the crowd were part of a horror movie come to life. This theatricality added an extra layer of excitement to their performance and kept the audience engaged from beginning to end.
Wednesday also took time to connect with the crowd, sharing stories and engaging in banter that made the experience feel personal. Their charisma and humour stuck with the audience.

As the show came to a close, Wednesday 13 left the stage to thunderous applause, and it was clear that they had left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. Their ability to blend captivating music with a theatrical performance is a testament to their talent and creativity.
