Jack J Hutchinson is a fedora wearing 6 string road warrior originally from Leicester who spent his informative years in Burnley before settling in London. Jack has shared the stage with the likes of  ZZ Top, Rival Sons, Blackberry Smoke, Kris Barras & Monster Truck, Jack has given us The Hammer Falls, World On Fire and has just dropped his killer new record Battles upon us. Jack makes his Winterstorm debut as he rocks onto the Sessions Stage and rolls into –

Don’t Let The Fuckers Get You Down – A pounding bass / snare drum kick comes from the stage as cowbell is the order of the day as this killer musician really kicks things off in style. The cool dark bassline is wandering freely through the track as Charlie gets her groove on before Jack drops the hammer and rips into a shredding power solo that really gets the juices flowing as we feel the rawness oozing from this fantastic musician as he leaves his mark on Winterstorm with a rocking debut that is just kickin ass, we roll into –

Constillations – Jack steps forward and immediately sets to work with slick, clean riffs that are backed by a pounding snare drum beat that really gives this track depth, swagger and bags of energy. The soaring vocals are ripping through the Sessions Stage as we feel the pounding beat coming from this 6 string warrior as he delivers a no nonsense rock n roll show. A rousing solo smacks us straight in the face as we feel the band tighten the noose as they bring us a real rocking track that is just full on, deep and brimming with shredding riffs and soaring melodies as we stroll into –

Days Are Gone – A rasping guitar riff oozes from the stage as this foot stomping bruiser gets underway as we get the cool rocking vibes that let Jack express himself as this melodic rocker comes to life. The cool bassline is dropping sweet, full on funk grooves that really let this track breathe as we get to grips with this fantastic musician as the rhythm section controls the room from the back and lets the groove come at us. The melodic vocals are working well through this fist pumping track as the band settle themselves down and really give this track the attention it deserves, the place is really warming to this fantastic musician as he marks his debut in style as he rips through a killer set that lets us roll into –

Running On Empty – A crunching deep fruity guitar riff erupts as the rhythm section brings the beat as snare drum punches fill the room as this grungy beast comes for us with all it has. The vocals are melodic as they drop in and give this track some swagger as a cool dark bassline wraps itself around this foot stomping monster as Jack & the gang really give it all they have as this cool track builds and builds as we get into this cool rocker as he strolls around the stage and drops a slick, clean riffed solo that just lets us know that Jack J Hutchinson is someone to watch as we crash into –

Road To Hell – A cool bass drum beat flows freely from the stage as this soulful rocking track comes to life as Jack lets his gravelly vocals take the lead in this cool track. Deep funking bass grooves are wrappping themselves around this cool track as a slick guitar riff makes itself known to us as we watch this guy deliver a well crafted rocking set that tells us that this guy knows his way around a stage as this groover really gives it to us. The soaring guitar licks are just awesome as Jack cuts loose and then takes the tempo down a notch or two as this fist pumping beast just brings the soulful tone to us all right here in the Sessions Stage, we drop into –

Deal With The Devil –  A shredding power riff rings out as melodic rocking vocals spill out and just let this track come to us. Bass chords are dropping meaty funk grooves that just delight this fantastic audience as we stand in awe as Jack rocks out and just wreaks havoc with his insane playing and catchy riffs that just bring delight to Troon tonight. Snare drum punches fill this cool place tonight and we in turn make these boys feel at home as they give us a real gritty power driven rock show that can only mean one thing, they will need to come back for sure,  coming at us next is –

Overdrive – From the off we get a pounding snare drum beat that brings cymbal snaps that let the groove pour through Troon tonight as this foot stomping beast makes itself known to us. A cool dark bassline is dropping mellow funk tones that just let this crunching monster leave it’s mark as this neat track brings Jack’s mellow vocals that work so well through the whole arrangement, the tempo is a real punchy affair as Jack brings his sizzling guitar work to let us feel the heat coming at us right now. The set has been a real groove laden affair as we have seen the best of this musician as he drops classy riffs that merge with delicious bass tones as the pounding rhythm section does what it does.

Call Of The Wild –  A crunching power chorded riff erupts and brings a solid pounding rhythm section that has a thundering snare drum punch that brings this track to our attention. The pounding bass drum kicks combine well with cymbal snaps that help this track build and build as we get a solid soulful rasping vocals that brings the attitude into this awesome power driven beast of a track. Bass grooves are dropping awesome funk grooves that just mould this colossal track together and really drag it kicking and screaming towards us as a cool guitar solo slides in and brings crisp licks that echo all around us and really get us feeling the awesome power coming from this incredible artist and surely lets us know that we are in for a fantastic show when he hits a town near you to bring his electrifying show to smack us right in the face.

Von Hertzen Brothers are a rock band from Finland who formed in 2000 by Mikko, Kie & Jonne, the boys mix classical / progressive / folk / punk & contemporary elements. The brothers are no strangers to the music business with each having notable history in the Finnish music scene, Kie was part of Don Huonot, Mikko in Egotrippi & Lemonator, Jonne won the National Rock Contest with Cosmos Tango and had success with Jonna Teruomad’s band. The boys have given us Experience in 2001, Approach in 2006, Love Remains The Same in 2008, Stars Aligned in 2011, Nine Lives in 2013, New Day Rising in 2015, War Is Over in 2017,Red Alert In The Blue Forest  and the boys are back with their epic new offering The Managerie – In Murmuration which they will be showcasing on their debut visit to Winterstorm,. The stage is set as the brothers take to the stage and thank us for coming to see them play, they get us underway with –

The Relapse –  A cool dark riffed guitar oozes from the intro as a thumping bass drum brings the heat before the start explodes with a full on bassline groove that gets the juices flowing for sure. The musicality is just awesome as the melodic vocals ease through the track as the boys come for us in a big way as they deliver a foot stomping lyrical arrangement that just lets us know that the boys are back. The groove is rich and full and really captures the band in all their glory as they each bring a crisp, melodic feel to the track as a cool saxaphone groove leans in and lets the track hit us straight in the face, the groove is infectious with rich tones, delicious textures and a real funky beat that is a fantastic way to let us know that the boys are back and firing on all cylinders. The place is bouncing along to the brothers as they bring their infectious brand of music to Troon as we roll into –

The Change –  Cool guitar picks flow from the outset as we get a nice dark groove that welcomes the stunning vocals that really give this track depth that really grabs our attention. The rhythm section is hitting us with cymbal snaps that let the snare drum punches lead the charge in this melodic symphonic beast that just grabs our attention as the musicality breaks free and really shows us that the boys are coming out swinging with a real cool composition. The cool bassline is dropping sweet, mellow grooves that are just on the money as we allow ourselves to be transported to another place as the crisp clean keys deliver a mellow tone that just lifts this track to another level as we feel the intensity pouring from the record as the tempo slows towards the end, up next is –

Coming Home – Mikko gets us clapping along as a pounding bass / snare combo get us in the mood as a sweet guitar lick oozes from the stage as the boys raise the tempo in this sonic infusion of sound. The rhythm section is bringing the heat as Kie brings his soulful melodic vocals that allow the track to open and soar as the boys drop the hammer and really bring the heat in this crisp, funky groover that is a real toe tapping number that brings nice tones wandering through this rousing monster track that just makes you smile as the boys are really enjoying themselves as they deliver a cool, punchy tone that has the crowd eating out of their hands, classy, crisp, punchy and has bags of swagger that let the boys do their thing as we stroll into –

Lost In Time – A dramatic intro of synth tones opens this track up as the dark brooding tones wrap themselves around this Winterstorm crowd as they navigate their way through this astounding setlist. The vocals are dark, mysterious and bring depth to the performance as the boys let their melodic tones flow freely through their colossal set that has everybody hooked let me tell you, the musicianship is something special as the boys just lose themselves in this high energy track that incorporates synth, symphonic tones, mighty dark vocals with astounding tones that provide a real darkness that lets the energy course through your veins as the place watches in awe of this powering unit as they do their thing, up next –

Starlings –  A slick guitar riff erupts from the off as cool synth keys bring us a fast paced rock n roll groover that has a colossal bassline that is hitting us with dar, funky beats that are just awesome. The rhythm section is bringing us a solid snare drum punch that comes armed with cymbal snaps that let the groove flow and let us feel the beat that is flowing freely through this electro laden piece. The vocals are flawless as they deliver a real mellow soulful tone that mixes well with the awesome musicality that is punching it’s way through this fantastic thought provoking number, the lyrics are strong, sharp and deliver a real nice tone that gives this track depth with plenty of swagger and tone, we roll into –

All Of A Sudden Your Gone –  We begin this incredible journey with sweet acoustic strings as a stringed intro oozes through the intro. A soulful melodic vocal tone is bringing this track to life as it comes at us with sweet cool vibes that really fit this composition. Bass chords are lingering as they drop deep funk grooves that just wrap themselves around this incredible thought provoking piece of music, cymbal taps combine with snare drum punches as the rhythm section really delivers this track and then some. The whole arrangement is a well crafted deep impacted track that has us transported to another place as we feel the delicious grooves wash over us, a stringed section delivers dark melodic tones that just deliver this stunning piece of music to the masses. A change up brings in soulful bluesy acoustic strings that have a real haunting feel to them as the sweet melodic vocals just elevate this fantastic track to us, a brass section comes through as haunting backing vocals shore up the mid section as the groove really erupts with anthemic tones that are incredible and really lose us as they just flow effortlessly through the middle of this haunting classy track. This dark piece is just visually stunning and a real work of art as we just lose ourselves in the smooth tones that are created from this incredible track, stunning composition that just instantly puts you at ease even though the track has a sombre side but is beautifully crafted.After that epic rendition we stroll into –

Snowstorm –  A punchy cymbal tapped intro breaks free from the off as a slick crunching guitar riff wanders freely through the track that really grabs our attention. The haunting backing vocals bring intensity that is wrapped in epic basslines that really give this track depth and attitude as the vocals open and give us a tingling feeling as we feel the intensity, the crunching guitar licks are awesome as they allow the track to express itself as we wander along with the boys as they really capture the essence of this mesmerising piece of music. The album is a real treat as we get bags of emotion, tons of haunting lyrics and cool musicianship that is second to none.Most of their music is short sharp and to the point which is just awesome and really makes a point, we move onto –

New Day Rising –  Epic guitar chords are bellowing out as they deliver a gritty rasping groove that has deep meaty bass chords for company. The rhythm section is preparing itself as it brings snare drum punches that really let this track groove. Piano tones are wandering in and really letting the track breath as soulful vocals bring this track to us, the whole composition is a real rasping power driven track that has real cool vocals that are deep and have soul as this beast of a track is thundering towards us and really letting the rhythm bring it’s a-game. This is a real melodic rocking track that just leaves us filling in the gaps as this rocking monster twists us one way then the next as the tone rises then falls as the whole track just builds and builds, the tempo changes as we get deep bass chords driving this juggernaut forward as we near the end of our journey, colossal night of melodic soulful entertainment.We come to the last track of their set in the form of –

Peace Patrol – A cool full on snare drum beat wanders in and really sets the tone as we move forward and let this track bring in soulful smooth vocals that are just making us feel so at ease with this composition. A cool slick guitar riff is oozing into this track as cool keys are handing us sweet tones that are making this track really stand out, bass chords are hitting us with sweet cool grooves that instantly hold this awesome tune together, the rhythm section is bringing the heat as the tempo is driven at 100 mph as this classy rocking beast really opens and brings in sweet cool keys that also incorporate a stringed intro that is just awesome. The tempo changes as we get deep vocal tones that are matched with thundering beats that are just incredible as sax tones fill the air and really settle this track into it’s own path, we are heading for the last track of the evening and I must say that the boys were on fire tonight as we really feel the emotion oozing from every musician on stage tonight
