Review By Darren McIntyre
Again,Robert Jon & The Wreck are a power raging 5 – piece roots – rocking band from Orange County, California who came to our attention in 2011. The boys have built a global fanbase and are one of the hardest working bands on the circuit right now, the boys have been busy in the studio and drop their new stand alone track Back To The Beginning Again which deals with deeper feelings of disillusionment & depression that can occur while on tour & working in the music business as a whole. The boys are gearing up for a run of shows with Samanth Fish with a run of US dates of their own before they drop into the UK & Europe in 2026. To wet our appetites the boys deliver a new standalone track, Back To The Beginning Again which I will be reviewing for you today.
Back To The Beginning Again – A real sludgy, gritty twin guitar riff oozes from the intro as the boys kick in the door with this rhythm-bursting bruiser that lets us feel the energy pouring from the boys as they let this rocker break free. Robert Jon slips in with his gravelly, soaring vocals that just bring the track to life as the boys grab our attention and let a real deep, pulsing bassline wrap itself around this cracking blues-riffed beauty. We have cool keys that flow effortlessly through the track as the boys really give us a heartfelt piece that just builds and builds as the Hammond-style keys erupt through the midsection, as this arrangement really catches our attention. The boys are firing on all cylinders right now, and they have delivered another surefire winner with this sludgy, gritty rock ‘n’ roller that just encapsulates the boys and what they are all about.
