Review By Darren McIntyre
A Thousand Horses are a Southern/country rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, who originally formed in 2010; the band took their name from a song on their first EP. The boys self-identify as a hybrid of classic rock, country, American rock, soul & blues, as their sound mimics the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, the Black Crowes & the Rolling Stones. The Boys bring us their sizzling new single, Part Of My Story, from their soon-to-be-released new album, White Flag Down, slated for release on Feb 27th, 2026. Please join me as I walk us through this fantastic new single.
reallyPart Of My Story – The track begins with a real mellow acoustic guitar strum that brings in awesome blues filled, gravelly toned vocals to really let the track breath. The rhythm section leans in with a real solid, meaty snare drum beat that lets the bass kicks take the track onwards as the soaring vocals lead the charge of this emotion filled groover, the full on bassline kicks in and wraps itself around this killer track as we get to grips with this awesome trio as they deliver a real thought provoking arrangement that allows us to be taken on the journey with this killer band as they really let us feel part of the journey. The guys have really dug deep in this track, as there are real cool lyrics that define the way the track comes at us and will have us reaching for the repeat button for sure.
