Caitlin Krisko at the Tuesday Night Music Club, Coulsdon

The Tuesday Night Music Club – Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast.

This review was written by Steve Sweetie Monster and shared with his permission.

Tonight’s musical feast was hosted by Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast. The band came out fighting with a mix of gritty rock and roll and a mix of blues and roots influences.

Having been working on new album material for the last twelve months, the four-piece band commanded the stage and audience completely with powerful vocals and softer heartfelt lyrics.

The set started with Piece by You, a rocky little number which set the tone for the first half. Following this with covers and original tracks from the new and previous albums with tracks such as Blue Heron, Homeless and Let It Ride. Covers include Angel from Montgomery and an inspired version of Born Under a Bad Sign.

After a break, the band gave credit to the venue and listed some influences and friends. Some of which are of no surprise to this audience – such as Cardinal Black and Brave Rival and Elles Bailey, before getting into the music again.

A lovely cover of Can’t Find My Way Home (by Blind Faith), together with the latest single Everything I Need, continued to enrapture the audience to a final standing ovation.

It was amazing to see this band again, and I feel that the band were happy with the reaction from the present music fans.

Credit as always to Richard and Rosalind for hosting.

With friends too numerous to mention them all.

This will be the last post from the Club for this year from me. I am so grateful for what the club has given to the industry and to the community it has helped to create and nurture.
