From the moment they took the stage, it was instantly clear that Revenant are a band that simply refuses to be pigeonholed. Drawing heavily from the well of classic Southern Rock, they laid down grooves steeped in that warm, rich tradition – but that is only the starting point. Just as you settle into that rhythm, they shift gears effortlessly, blending in the swagger of timeless Classic Rock and the sharp, punchy edge of Modern Rock. They move between styles with such fluidity that trying to pin them down to one specific genre is impossible, and honestly? That is exactly what makes them so brilliant.

The set featured tracks taken straight from their debut EP release Be There, giving the crowd a chance to hear their original material delivered with real fire and intensity. Front and centre is Sugarman Sam, a true force of nature who handles lead vocals and guitar duties simultaneously – a skill that is far harder to master than it looks, yet he makes it seem effortless. He is matched every step of the way by Matt, a six-string virtuoso in his own right, and together these two form the backbone of the band’s sound. Having twin lead guitars opens up a world of musical possibilities, and Revenant exploit this perfectly; their dual harmonies and intricate interplay were nothing short of stunning throughout the night.

Holding everything together is a rhythm section built on power and precision. Carl is a powerhouse behind the kit, driving every track with relentless energy and perfect timing, while Robin locks in on bass to provide a deep, resonant foundation that ties the whole sound together. The chemistry between all four members is undeniable – they move and play as a single unit, with a telepathic connection usually reserved for family members. Watching them huddle together for a group hug and fist bumps right before hitting the stage tells you everything you need to know about their bond; these men are brothers-in-arms, united by a love of playing music.

Ultimately, Revenant exist to do one thing: give the audience exactly what they want. They are here to entertain, to connect, and to deliver high-quality rock music, and boy, do they deliver on that promise. A fantastic band with a big sound and even bigger potential.
