Saturday 6th June.
A 9 song set from the guys kicked off here in the “Dreadnought” what a replacement venue for this night of top dollar rock due to the unfortunate circumstances of initial venue the iconic “Bannermans” in Edinburgh,s Old Town.
David on lead guitar with Sophie on bass before a storming instrumental with “hey hey’s” dropped in with both David and Joel on guitars going for it and Reuben on drums we were “Over and Over” was Bathgate ready for a party we were asked – Well yes!!!

“Times get Tough” hits the spot with its melody and catchy chorus all the while Reuben keeps the pulse beating at the back before a slower vocal leads us back into the full throttle this tight knit 4 piece waste no time in delivering an opening triple assault with “One hit Wonder” these guys certainly ain’t as both David and Sophie join vocals throughout with Joel backing another ear shattering instrumental and fist bursting drumming from Reuben has the audience engrossed.
“Chained to You” these Londoners had the locals, the not so locals and far afield supporters as the year old single opens with David on vocals before Sophie joins in the dual vocals are certainly different and deliver a totally different angle to this rock outfit – I really like the dual vocal in a band. “Chained to You” certainly had the audience committed as sing-along lyrics continue another extraordinary instrumental is delivered it’s not hard to get foot tapping and head banging going et al.
“The Wreckage” title track off sophomore album “From the Wreckage” released late last summer kicks off at breakneck speed before David,s vocal leads before a triple vocal assault the rhythm being delivered from Reuben and Sophie is astonishing with Joel giving a masterclass on the strings with a drumbeat to support, what energy Reuben has and a searing vocal from David with another muscle bursting finale from all.
First single from the first album”Separate Sides” from 2022 “Love is the Enemy” and a favourite of the band is certainly a favourite of mine with its catchy chorus of “Hey,s” throughout being a standout 6 songs in just wow, my ears are ringing .

David swaps guitars from his brand new one which is older than Joel which he alludes to before “Destiny,s Door” Joel, Reuben and epic Sophie opens before the guys electrify us again with an astonishing intro David,s vocals kicks in again before midsong dual vocals with Reuben chest bare sweat dripping has delivered a 7 song masterclass along with David clad in sequins jeans and cowboy boots on his left long haired Joel has been a joy to watch whilst 2 tone haired Sophie has kept a beat throughout what a powerhouse on bass.

“Before the song is Over” penultimate tune let’s see your hands as Reuben opens on drums along with a melodic guitar intro which searches before ramping up the energy with more dual backing vocals from Joel and Sophie between David,s soaring vocals in and out with a dual guitar midsong the highlight here wow how quick has been this set.
One more was asked ” Last Dance” delivered which starts off at breakneck speed as all 4 set out to give us one last blast all backing vocals what a joy to see them enjoying themselves in the Scottish equivalent of “Las Vegas” the aptly nicknamed “Bath Vegas” as Reuben hatted gives his kit one last crushing beating with hardly a break from all 4 this 40 minute set closes with a light flashing ending.

Returning to Edinburgh in September at the legendary “Bannerman’s” which we alluded to earlier don’t miss this night as these guys are worth the entry money alone and considering the effort taken to set off on a tour at any time from any location is to be admired.
Guys thank you very much for the time spent on Saturday night and I look forward to meeting you all again.
Until the next time – Adios Gazza ✌️ 💕
