By Justin Smulison
Over the summer, Australian metal champs Temtris released their eighth studio album of original material, Queen of Crows, to widespread acclaim. Released by WormHoleDeath Records, Queen of Crows contains all the hallmarks of a Temtris release – the electrifying dual-guitar riffs and solos and stellar drumming and tempo changes are the heartbeat of the band, providing the platform for Genevieve Rodda to belt out metal anthems as powerfully as Michael Kiske and Bruce Dickinson.

Unlike their prior two albums, Queen of Crows is not a concept record, though themes of betrayal, entropy and the will to survive are its common threads.
Rodda joined Jace Media contributor Justin Smulison for the first time since 2023 to discuss why Queen of Crows might prove to be the strongest release of Temtris’ 25-year career, welcoming back guitarist Nadi Norouzian, and the excitement of the band’s return to the UK in 2026.
Queen of Crows featured clips: “The World Is Bleeding Out”, “The Risk”, and “Scars of Betrayal”.
