There are some artists who seem incapable of standing still creatively, and Elles Bailey is undoubtedly one of them. Fresh from the continued success of her chart-topping album Can’t Take My Story Away, Bailey now releases the standalone single “Back To You”, proving once again why she remains one of the UK’s most respected independent artists.
Originally available only on the deluxe CD zine edition of the album, “Back To You” finally gets its deserved digital release, and it immediately feels like a song that should never have been hidden away. Co-written with Danny Addison, Amy Yon, and producer Luke Potashnick, the track captures everything that makes Bailey such a compelling songwriter and performer.
From the opening notes, her voice takes centre stage. Rich, soulful, and packed with emotion, Bailey delivers every lyric with absolute conviction. It is a voice that can comfort, inspire, and break your heart all within the same song. Remarkably, she somehow seems to get better with every song she releases.
