On Sunday the 23rd of March 2025 we had the pleasure of seeing the final show of Raging Speedhorn’s – “Night Wolf” tour to celebrate their 7th studio album release at the Sheffield Corporation.
Main support across the tour has been from “Kill The Lights” a new one for us but definitely they have gained new fans from the crowd tonight and I spotted several t-shirts within the crowd. Full of energy and knowing they were there to warm up for the main act they gave it everything I’m sure it won’t be the last time that we see “Kill The Lights” in action.

With a deep stage, Gordon Morrison, Frank Regan, Dan Cook, James Palmer, Daf Williams and Andy Gilmour of Raging Speedhorn assembled there is time during the show for each to shine and like a well-oiled machine the dual vocalists make the most of the front of stage with Frank and Dan moving around the stage with excited energy and freedom.

Now for those who have never listened or seen Raging Speedhorn before they are an extreme British metal band formed in Corby in 1998 and for the crowd tonight the energy and musicianship really resonate with those on the floor on this Sunday evening with pits opening up and everyone enjoying the show, atmosphere and the songs being played.

For over an hour and covering 13 songs it really was a great experience not having seen them before play in a club venue environment. The last time we saw the band was at the Call of the Wild Festival, several years ago and I must confess to having not listened to them before the festival but after seeing them I was hooked – the fast playing and vocal roars really make this music and band right up my street. I overheard a fan in the toilets say that after listening them for many years, this was the first time he had seen them and was blown away! (note I wasn’t hanging around in them, it’s just Sheffield is over an hour away from home) As ever taking my son Matthew to shot the gig and to experience this was brilliant and this was the second time he had shot the band.

Given their recent album release there was plenty of songs off the new record Night Wolf including: “Blood Red Sky”, “Buzz Killa”, “Every Night’s Alright For Fighting”, “Night Wolf” and “Coming In Hard” which all sounded great live. Highlights for me we’re also “Voodoo Man”, “Spitfire” and “Thumper”.

At the end of the night, everyone left the venue hot and sweaty with their ears ringing and just shows that after several years support for them still continues and the band still deliver energetic live shows which even given the changes in the band over the years is great to see . I’m sure there will be more performances this year and I urge you to go see them and if you’ve not listened to them before and if you like your music hard and fast they are definitely worth you’re attention. Raging Speedhorn we salute you
