Jessie Murph – I’m Not There For You – Single Review – dedikatedpr

Review By Darren McIntyre

Jessie Murph is a singer/songwriter originally from Huntsville, Alabama, but now resides in Clarksville, Tennessee, and she has been active since 2021. Murph gained popularity with the release of her RIAA-certified singles Always Been You & Pray. Jessie has given us the mixtape Drowning in 2023 and the debut album That Ain’t No Man That’s The Devil in 2024, and she follows that with her sophomore album, Sex Hysteria. In support of the album, Jessie embarked on her Worldwide Hysteria Tour, her most ambitious to date. Jessie drops her soulful new single, ‘I’m Not There For You’, which I will be reviewing for you today.

I’m Not There For You – We get a dark, mellow acoustic guitar pick that flows freely through the intro as Jessie leans in with her soulful, melodic vocals that let the track break free. We get sampler grooves that rise up as a cool, dark bassline wraps itself around this fantastic offering that lets the backing vocals ease into this ballad-style track that grabs our attention. The lyrics really flow as Jessie digs deep and really lets us know what she is all about as this cool, mellow guitar lick comes at us and really elevates this smooth, melodic number as the cool, groove-laden track takes us on the journey with Jessie as she lays herself bare.
