Review By Darren McIntyre
Silveroller are a 5-piece rock ‘n’ roll blues outfit which consists of 2 Liverpudlians, 1 Englishman, 1 Brazilian & 1 American who have spent loads of time and effort perfecting their sound. The boys have been on the road supporting the likes of The Karma Effect and DeWolff and gathering a whole new fanbase to bolster their already growing legions of fans that have followed the brethren from day one. The boys are out right now supporting the fabulous Bobbie Dazzle and Reef, and to whet our appetites, they drop their electrifying new single Trouble Follows Me (Live in 25), which I will be reviewing for you today.
-styleTrouble Follows Me – A sludgy, bluesy guitar lick oozes from the intro as a cool harmonica tone lingers as the track comes to life with a solid punchy snare drum groove. Jonnie lets his smouldering, blues soaked vocals lead the charge as this foot stomping bruiser grabs our attention as the funk laden bassline drops in and wraps itself around us with dark, delicious grooves that just give the track bags of swagger, the killer Hammond style keys are electrifying the arrangement as they take us on the journey with the boys as they deliver a cool, funky, blues soaked piece that just puts a smile on your face. The rhythm section is controlling the beat as the cool snare drum punches work well with a fat bass kick that really gives the track depth and attitude, the sludgy, gritty guitar licks are really giving the track licence to cause havoc as it flows freely through the piece and just lets the funk, soul tempo give us goosebumps as the tone lifts the track to another level with its epic grooves, soulful vocals and killer Hammond style keys that just light the track up.
