Rob Moratti – Can’t Let You Go – Single Review – frontiersmusicsrl

Review By Darren McIntyre

Rob Moratti is a solo artist, formerly the lead vocalist of Moratti, Final Frontier & SAGA. Rob started his professional singing career in the early 90s as the lead vocalist & songwriter of Moratti. Rob’s career progressed, and he became part of Final Frontier, with whom he released 4 studio albums. In 2008 he captured the attention of progressive rock band SAGA. Fast forward to 2025, and Rob is back with a stellar cast of the world’s best musicians and delivers us a killer new single, Can’t Let You Go, from his soon-to-be-released new record, Sovereign. Please join me as I walk us through this epic new offering.

Can’t Let You Go – Cool melodic keys slide through the intro as the pounding rhythm section controls the groove with a punchy bass / snare drum beat that really gives the track a real edgy feel. The soulful, mellow vocals lean in and let the track open and give us a cool 80s feel that is just fantastic; the dark, brooding bassline drops in and hits us with a funky, melodic groove that just allows the track to flow and lets us feel the energy oozing from the guys as they let their musicality do its thing. The twin guitar licks are giving the track a real sparkle as they bounce off each other and let the chemistry flow freely through the midsection as this fist-pumping groover just puts a smile on your face. The slick, crisp solo wanders effortlessly through the midsection as we get a cool, fresh tone that is coming at us as the snare drum punches fill the air as the rhythm section commands the flow of this melodic groover.
