Massive Waggons are a 5-piece juggernaut rock ‘n’ roll outfit from Lancaster, England, who were formed in 2009 by Barry & Adam, who were inspired to form a band after witnessing Aussie rockers Airbourne because they wanted to write and record their own original songs. The band have shared the stage with the likes of The Darkness and Ugly Kid Joe and have appeared at Planet Rockstock. The boys have given us Fire It Up in 2012, Fight The System in 2014, Welcome To The World in 2016, Full Nelson in 2018, House Of Noise in 2020, Triggered in 2022 & Earth To Grace in 2024. The boys are back with a barnstorming new single, Wherever We Go, which I will be reviewing for you today.
Wherever We Go – A crunching, meaty guitar riff opens the track as Barry leans in with his killer, gravelly vocals that just let the track come to our attention. The rhythm section is commanding the track with a punchy bass/snare drum beat that just gives the arrangement swagger, depth and attitude as the boys return to form with this awesome new offering. The bassline is dropping in as Bowz brings the heat with his menacing tone as the boys deliver a real foot-stomping bruiser that just ticks all the boxes. The soaring vocals are wrapped in twin galloping guitar riffs that just let the track express itself as we feel the energy roaring through the track as the pounding rhythm section kicks in the doors with a cool, meaty punch that really tells us that the boys are back and back with a bang with this anthemic rocker track that just puts a smile on your face for sure. You will be reaching for the repeat button for sure, as you will have this song in your head for a long time to come.
