“The clip is a fun romp and jam around a time-honored tradition of bowling with friends at the local spot! Buoyed by the power pop perfection of the track, it’s a fun escape from the winter blues.” – Ghost Cult Magazine
New York, NY—(December 17, 2025)— Electrifying rock pop/punk band Power Take Off—the high-energy, multi-generational group formed by father-son duo Scott and Ayden Theis—is accelerating their rise with national momentum following the success of “Revolution,” their fourth consecutive single to chart on the SMR Mainstream/Active Rock Top 50, peaking at #23 the week of September 9, 2025. Building on that success, the rapidly ascending Midwest contingent dropped their newest release, “Dixie Cup,” along with an accompanying lively, bowling-alley-set music video, which premiered on Ghost Cult Magazine. As their footprint expands and radio traction intensifies, Power Take Off is gearing up for significant U.S. touring in 2026, spanning 12 states, with a slate of auspicious releases on the horizon.
Lead singer Scott Theis shares, “‘Dixie Cup’ is a celebration of young love—and the complicated, funny, tender place known as ‘the friend zone.’ It’s an honest message to the listener that says: I’m here for you in whatever way you need.”
Formed in 2019, Power Take Off launched when veteran rocker Scott Theis teamed up with his son Ayden, an 18-year-old drumming phenom whose early start—on drums at two, in bands by six, onstage by 13—quickly shaped the band’s sound. During the COVID shutdown, Ayden doubled down, expanding into multi-instrumentation and production, becoming a central creative force in the group. Guitarist Ethan “Hank” Schluter injects blues, jazz, and classic-rock influences into the band’s signature tone, while Mike “Cowboy” Delp—a small-town Wisconsin native steeped in pop-punk and rock—brings precision and grit to every performance. Bassist Jakob “JR” Ripp, a former drummer with deep industry experience, adds the depth and balance that round out their sound. Together, they forge a sound built on connection, craft, and a shared drive that powers every performance.
Over the past six years, Power Take Off has quickly made a name for themselves, charting their fourth consecutive single, “Revolution,” a clear testament to their growing fanbase and rising momentum. Recorded in Nashville with multi-platinum producer Malcolm Springer at the storied Stoner Creek Studios—owned by Lynyrd Skynyrd keyboardist Peter Keys—the track signaled a major leap forward for the band.
They’ve since continued building on that success, recording new material in Detroit with multi-platinum producer Chuck Alkazian as they prepare for a Billboard Top 40 push in 2026. Backed by Stryker Records, with international distribution via Anrgirl/Beatchain/Fuga, the rising rock brigade is expanding their reach to audiences around the world. Their dedication to craft, high-energy performances, and unwavering commitment to their fans continue to set them apart in today’s rock landscape.
With a rapidly expanding fanbase, a string of chart-topping singles, and a national tour on the horizon, the fast-rising act is poised for a breakout year in 2026. Their relentless commitment to craft and genuine connection continue to set them apart in an increasingly crowded rock landscape. The fun-loving energy captured in their “Dixie Cup” music video offers a glimpse of the good times fans can expect on the upcoming tour. As they step into their biggest chapter yet, the engines are roaring—and Power Take Off is hitting altitude.
