Review By Darren McIntyre
Who On Earth are a New Jersey-based metal/hard rock band who are not just a band; they are a statement who are ready to resurrect a high-voltage powercore sound and bring a dominance of arena-ready hard rock songs to the masses. Founded by veteran bassist Pete Rizzi, WOE fuses the seismic energy of metal legends with the melodic punch of classic rock radio hits. The boys dropped their EP Smoke & Mirrors upon us in 2025 & with it a spring US tour with Fozzy to whet our whistles for 2026. The guys drop their epic new single Vigilance upon us with a promise of a new album sometime in late 2026. Please sit back as I take us through this blistering new offering.
Any Vigilance – A pulsing, dark bassline kicks this beast off as a soaring, gritty twin guitar assault hits us between the eyes as this thundering monster rears its head and tells us that WOE is back. The rasping, gritty vocals kick in the doors and let us feel the energy weaving its way through this foot-stomping, fist-pumping bruiser as the boys set out their stall and let us have it; the thundering double bass kicks let the rhythm section tell its own story as the killer snare drum kicks let the track breathe. The guys are digging deep and giving us a no-nonsense arrangement that lets us feel the energy, swagger and pounding, edgy sound that is pouring from this epic arrangement. The vocals are flowing effortlessly through the track as they deliver a gritty, rasping tone that really lets us get to grips with this energetic 5-piece rock ‘n’ roll juggernaut; the track certainly is a statement of intent and tells us that these boys are ready to shake the foundation of any arena they hit.
