I must confess to being a Buckcherry virgin so don’t judge!
Buckcherry are a hard rock band from Anaheim, California who originally formed in 1995, they released two albums Buckcherry in 1999 & Time Bomb before dissolving in 2002. 2006 sees the reformation of the band with a new album the same year, the boys have given us Buckcherry in 1999, Time Bomb in 2001, 15 in 2005, Black Butterfly in 2008, All Night Long in 2010, Confessions in 2013, Rock n Roll in 2015, Warpaint in 2019, Hellbound in 2021, Vol 10 in 2023 & Roar Like Thunder in 2025, through the years the boys have collected numerous awards for their songwriting which has kept the fire burning in their hearts. Tonight the boys roll into SWG3 to bring us a show that was 26 Months in waiting, the place is buzzing, the temperature is rising as the house light dim and bang off we go as the boys saunter onto the stage and launch into –


Lit Up – The place goes nuts as the boys kick it up a little with a real sludgy, gritty riff as the rhythm section kicks in the doors with a solid snare / bass combo that lets the boys drive this opener forward. Josh grabs the mic and lets his gravelly, rockin vocals lead the charge as we throw our fists in the air and feel the thundering groove wrap itself around us as the soaring beat just lets the boys do their thing, the funky, dark, brooding bassline is hitting us with a real sludgy tone that is making the hairs on my arms stand up lol. The place is just feeling the love from these boys as they rock out and make up for not kickin ass 26 months ago, the gritty vocals are oozing from the stage as the boys look out at the swelling crowd and feel the love coming straight back at them as we roll into –

Roar Like Thunder – A crunching guitar riff weaves it’s way through the venue as a pounding kick ass double bass kick lets this monster unfold as the boys shift through the gears and let this bad boy live. The backing vocals add a little harmony to the track as Josh commands the stage as he wanders around and offloads with ease as the cool, meaty bassline drops in and hits us with a really dark tone that fits this arrangement perfectly, the place is bubbling under the surface as Josh asks us to sing along to the rousing chorus and we try our best as this foot stomping monster hits us from all sides and then some as the boys dig deep and really let us have it as we catch our breath as the boys kick into –
So Hott – The rhythm section kicks in the doors and lets this rock n roller do it’s thing as the snare drum kicks combine with cymbal crashes that really let the groove drop in and get this bruiser off the ground. The raspy vocals lean in and control the direction of this killer track as the boys give us a real rockin night of sleazy tracks that are perfect for a Sunday night in Glasgow, the track is a real fist pumping, foot stomping groover that is commanded by a killer snare beat that welcomes a slick, crisp guitar solo that builds and builds as the boys exchange riffs and let us feel the energy coming at us as Josh asks us ‘Who Is Feeling Hott Tonight’ which gets a rousing response from the crowd as we feel the swagger coming from these boys as they steamroll through their set and take us onto –

Ridin – Josh grabs his tambourine and shakes it with all his might as this pounding beast opens with a cool, thundering bass kick as the boys join the party and give us a real crunching riff as this classy track opens. The vocals are leaning in and letting us feel the sleaze tones ripple through the track as the boys settle into their stride and let us have it both barrels as we get all sweaty and hot, this is one of those tracks that just gets you movin and a groovin as the beat just reaches every corner of the venue as the boys give us a real nasty, funky, rockin night that will be with us for a long time to come. The dirty, groovin bassline hits us with a real delicious tone as the boys go about their business and really sock it to us as we shout back to these 5 road warriors as they bring us a no nonsense, rock n roll groove as we stroll into another classic in the form of –

Let It Burn – Josh tells us that it is good to be back as they missed us last time around which brings a huge cheer from the crowd as he leads us into a shredding, gritty guitar riff as the thundering rhythm section kicks in the doors and lets us have it both barrels with a killer double bass kick that lets the snare punches lead the charge. Vocals are a real gravelly, rasping vibe that fits the track perfectly as the boys get their nerves out the way as this foot stomping mofo comes at us with all it’s might, the place is fixed on the stage as the boys really dig deep and give us their best rockin effort tonight as the stage is a real hive of activity as the boys bring a real cool vibe to tonight’s show as the riffs wrap themselves around us as we roll into –


Come On – Josh loses his shirt to the delight of the ladies in the crowd as this shredding monster comes to life with a galloping riff that works so well with the pounding rhythm section as the track builds and just grabs our attention. The soaring, gritty vocals are just wrapping themselves around the crowd as we get all low down and dirty with the boys as they shift through the gears and just give it what for, the soaring riffs, dirty bass and thundering snare drum kicks give this arrangement a real cool, solid feel as the slick, crisp guitar solo weaves it’s way through the venue as the boys let us feel them doing their thing as the place is rockin out to a cool, dirty. rasping groove that just makes you dance around and feel the energy pouring from the stage as we stroll into –

Say Fuck It – This classic unfolds as Josh asks do we want another and we bellow back hell yeah as this rousing beast kicks into life as the vocals join a shredding guitar riff as we get into party mode. The cymbal crashes are raining down on us as the punchy bass kick let this growler hit us from all sides as the vocals rumble through the venue as the place gets into the zone, the cool, meaty bassline is dropping in and hitting us with a real grungy groove as the killer guitar licks wander effortlessly through the track as we watch the stage and feel the energy coming at us in waves as the boys raise the tempo of this classic number as the place sings along, throws it’s fists in the air and jump around to this absolute banger of a track that has just blown the doors off of SWG3 tonight as we roll into –

Gluttony – This real gutsy, pounding bruiser erupts as Josh offloads with his gravelly soaked vocals as the boys bring killer guitar riffs that are kept in check with a pounding bass kick that lets this rocker tell it’s own story. The boys are tearing through the setlist and look like they are enjoying themselves as they bounce around the stage throwing out guitar pics, posing for camera shots and generally having an awesome time, the place is just soaked in sweat and really enjoying the blistering pace from the boys as they deliver a real gritty, rasping set that really puts a smile on your face. The boys are bringing us short, sharp, rockin tunes that just get us all excited and wanting more as they drop into –

Sorry – Josh wanders around the stage as a sweet, melodic guitar lick opens the track as Josh lets his cool, soulful vocals let the track come to life as we sway from side to side as this rocker ballad really gets us all in the mood. The rhythm section is hitting us with a cool, solid snare beat as the cymbal snaps allow the groove to flow with ease as the boys slow down the pace of tonight’s show, the crowd are singing along and swaying from side to side as they drive through the set and really give us depth and tone from a well crafted setlist. The boys are really going for it as we watch the stage and feel the love pouring from the stage as we tear through a real thought provoking track that really means so much to so many people as we drop into –
Porno Star – A crunching. gritty guitar riff oozes from the stage as Josh comes at us with a real gravelly, raspy vocal that fits the arrangement so well as the slick tones ripple through the track. The rhythm section is again controlling the flow of this killer track that just grabs our attention as the boys dig deep and really let us have it both barrels as this foot stomping monster builds and builds with each riff that comes our way, the tempo changes pace mid section as the cranking guitar licks really let the track bring a real energetic pulse to the venue as we just get it. The rhythm section is pounding away from the back of the room as this roaring beast leaves it’s mark on us fine folk from Glasgow as we rip up the playbook as the boys change the set and put in this absolute banger that takes us onto –
Blackout – The boys kick things off with a real sludgy bassline that wraps itself around this growling monster as it breaks free and lets us have it large tonight in Glasgow. Josh leans in with his rasping vocals to lead the track as we get cowbell that fills the air as the snare / bass kicks really let the groove break free, the boys are hitting us with slick, crisp guitar licks as the groove grabs us and let the boys tell their story tonight. The place is just bubbling under the surface as we have waited 26 months for this night and I must admit that it has been worth while, Josh sings his heart out and wants us to join in as this growling beast rears it’s head as we sadly come to the last track of the night in the form of –

Crazy Bitch – A cool melodic guitar lick opens the track as Josh asks us how many crazy bitches do we have in the house tonight as the ladies bellow back as the cymbal snaps let the rhythm section take the track down the road. The arrangement has a cool funky groove as the dark, brooding bassline drops in with a funky groove that lets the boys do their thing as the track opens witha real slick, raspy guitar fill that has a punchy snare / bass backup that just gets the juices flowing. Josh leans in and lets his gravelly soaked vocals take the track down the road as the funky tones grab our attention as the tempo builds as the boys ready us for a killer send off with this classic track. The tempo changes pace as the gritty, rasping guitar drops the hammer as this foot stomping beast kicks in the doors and lets us have it both barrels as we dance around and feel the grungy, funk element pouring from the stage as the boys dig deep and really give it to us with all they have, a cool, rockin gig that I really enjoyed and felt the lyrics grab me and take me on the journey with the band.
