Review By Darren McIntyre
Lives,Lord Of The Lost are a Gothic / Industrial / Glam Rock band from Hamburg, Germany who have been active since 2007, initially formed as a solo project Chris was gathering a lot of attention and realised that this had some legs and decided to expand it into a full on band. The boys have given us 12 studio albums and have recently come off another hugely supportive run with Iron Maiden – the band were personally hand picked by Maiden’s own Steve Harris, the boys have been hard at work on their next album Grand Finale – OPVS Noir Vol 3 which drops on the 10th April and from that comes the last track on the album, The Days Of Our Lives which I will be reviewing for you today.
The Days Of Our Lives – The track unfolds with a real haunting, mysterious synth tone that wanders freely through the intro as a dark, melodic vocal echoes out and lets us feel the depth of this blistering track. The track erupts into a full-on symphonic affair as the soaring vocals tell their own story as the band gets ready to unleash hell with a real thought-provoking, melodic track that really grabs our attention as we feel the sheer volume of tone weaving its way through this epic arrangement. The synth tones are really building as we get a real soaring effect pulsing from this classy, dark, haunting track that just grabs our attention and makes us sit up and take notice of this real spellbinding track. The boys have really thought long and hard about this composition as we are taken on the journey with the boys as they allow us to have a peek inside the thought-provoking mind of this classic outfit as they finish off their album in style.
