Review By Darren McIntyre
Parker Barrow are a blues – infused Southern rock n roll juggernaut from Nashville, Tennessee who are steadily building a reputation as one of the finest act to emerge in recent years. The band brought us Hold The Mash EP last year to critical acclaim and on the 17th July they unleash their sophomore album Hold The Mash which brings together 6 tracks from the EP & 3 new tracks to dazzle us with their kick ass Americana rock n roll prowess, to celebrate the new release the band bring us their new single Nothing Left To Save which I will be reviewing for you today.
Nothing Left To Save – The track kicks in the doors from the off with a pounding snare groove that really sets the tone as the gritty, rasping guitar combo leaves it’s mark. Megan unleashes her incredible vocals that just let the track come to life as the boys ease in and bring a cool, slick keys section that gets us all warm and fuzzy inside for sure, the dark, grooving bassline drops in and brings a real cool tone that just wraps itself around this foot stomping, fist pumping bruiser that instantly puts a smile on your face for sure. The tempo is just kickin ass as the band pick up where they left off with a slick, crisp guitar solo that ripples all the way through this colossal piece of blues rock that is just on the money, the pounding snare drum fills really elevate this track somewhat as the band dig deep and continue their meteoric rise to the top.
