The Dust Coda – Live – The Cathouse – Gardenia Publicity

The Dust Coda are a 4 – piece rock n roll juggernaut outfit from London, England who were founded in 2013 and have shared the stage with the likes of Black Stone Cherry, British Lion & The Dead Daisies. The boys have given us EP The More It Fades in 2016, Albums The Dust Coda in 2017, Mojo Skyline in 2021 & Loco Paradise in 2023, the boys have been busy in the studio writing & recording new music and also introducing their new frontman Andrew Knightley. the boys recently dropped their awesome new single Never Go Back and to support this new offering they are out on tour and tonight they stop off at the world famous Cathouse, please ready yourself to have your face melted and the foundations shaken as these boys get ready to bring the heat tonight, the place is filling up nicely as the house PA fades and the lights go down and all of a sudden boom here come the boys with opener –

Let Me Go –  This is a real rock n roll track that comes with a pounding snare drum beat that runs perfectly with a killer bassline that just opens this track up. We get the killer vocals as Andrew  addresses the mic and lets rip with his rasping bluesy vocals as we take this track to another level as the whole arrangement just merges together as Adam & Andrew work well in tandem as they feed off of each other and let this gritty monster shake The Cathouse to it’s very foundations as the track hits us with slick clean licks that are wrapped in a cool pulsing rhythm section that just blows us all away with it’s slick on point beats that really get us all worked up for sure, we roll into –

Jimmy 2 Times – The ripping guitar licks erupt as the boys settle into their stride and let the good times roll with this foot stomping bruiser that gets The Cathouse all in a frenzy. The bluesy rasping vocals come at us as Andrew really brings the groove with his incredible range that lets this bad boy hit us from all sides, the full on bassline is dropping in and really gives the track depth, swagger and bags of attitude as Tony bounces all over the stage and gives us something to shout about tonight. The rhythm section is pounding away from the back of the room and controlling the beat that is pouring off the stage right now as a slick, crisp solo oozes towards us as the boys are giving us what we came for tonight, the place is rocking and really letting Andrew know that he is bringing the groove to Glasgow tonight and we do approve of the appointment and then some, the place just erupts as the boys thank us for coming out tonight and making them feel so welcome as Glasgow always does, next up –

Demon –  We are met with a rasping killer power riffed intro that welcomes thundering snare drum punches that have a solid bass drum kick that is rounded off with cool cymbal crashes. Gravelly rasping vocals come bellowing towards us and really get you feeling the awesome force that is coming behind this beast of a track. Dark, moody  bass lines are handing out killer funking grooves that just elevate this track to another level, we have a change up as a snare drum roll is building the momentum just a killer guitar riff explodes before us and gives us crisp clean rasping licks that have real attitude as they drop rocking vibes all over this opening monster to really get us in the mood for what’s to come., the place is rocking and rolling now as we really get behind the boys as the take is into –

Weakness – A punchy bass kick with cymbal snaps gets this rocking monster off the ground as the gravelly vocals let themselves be known as Andrew owns the track and brings his own mark for this rocking bad boy. The dark, brooding bassline drops in and brings the funk element to this killer track that has the Cathouse movin and a groovin, the twin guitar riffs are filling every corner of the venue as the boys gel together and really deliver a no nonsense ripping track that has depth, charm and real grit as the boys tear up the stage with crisp riffs that really let the track soar and bring smiles to the faces of the crowd tonight as we feel the energy, heat and swagger come for us tonight, I will say it’s a real pleasure watching these boys who I have the pleasure of calling friends, up next –

Call Out The Dogs – Gritty sludgy guitar riffs pour towards us as this deep pounding track brings bass kicks and snare drum grooves that are just awesome. The cool vocals are bringing depth to this track as the boys just come together and give us a well rounded beast that comes with basslines that are wrapping themselves around this real full on pounding beast. The thundering beats are working so well in the punchy guitar laden beast that brings in slick clean licks that are allowing this awesome piece of music the room it needs to grow and offer us a meaty puncht that gives us sludgy bass grooves that work so well with awesome vocals that really make this track something special.The night is reaching boiling point as Andrew steps forward and thanks us for welcoming him to the fold and tells us that he was looking forward to tonight as the boys have told him we are wild and he says you haven’t disappointed so far as he introduces their new track –

Never Go Back – 

The track kicks off in good ole fashioned Dust Coda style with a shredding, power drenched riff that sets the tone as Andrew lets his bellowing, gravel laden vocals let this track fly. A solid, punchy snare drum kick is letting the rhythm section control the groove as this super infectious rock n roller kicks in the doors and lets us know that the boys are back and back with a bang, the funking bassline is dropping in and leaving, dark, brooding grooves all through this monster arrangement as the slick gritty guitar licks fill the air and gives this track a real swagger. The boys are firing on all cylinders as this foot stomping bruiser punches us straight in the face with it’s no nonsense riffs, fills and thundering rhythm section that is hard, heavy, in your face and it certainly leaves it’s mark, we have waited a long time for this track and it has been worth the wait let me tell you, the track sounds heavier, groovier and more ballsy live and it has left a mark on Glasgow tonight as we move onto –

Love Sick – Acoustic strumming licks are joining gritty guitar riffs that really let this track breathe as we get soulful bluesy vocals that let us feel the tempo bring this track to life. The deep cool basslines are handing us a sweet cool groove that works so well in this fantastic mood laden track that is backed with cool backing vocals that really sing. The rhythm section is coming to us with solid snare drum punches that drag bass kicks and cymbal crashes that really give this track a fantastic rock feel, we again come to a change in tempo that lets Andrew  drive forward with his blues soaked yvocals that just add depth to this fantastic piece of music. The whole arrangement is a gritty rasping rocker track that just comes at us in layers as the whole track just pops and lets us feel the energy oozing from the boys.Up next is – 

Dream Alight –  Clean crisp guitar licks pour out of this punchy bass driven cool track as we are exposed to awesome soulful vocals with a real edgy feel. We get a snare drum hit that has a deep bass drum kick that really brings the rhythm section to our attention. We get a real meaty dark, deep bass line that hands out cool funking groove beats that soak into the very fabric of this funky rocking classic. Guitar riffs are littered throughout the mid section and really give this track depth, punchy deep bass drum kicks echo all around as snare drum rolls are the order of the day as it explodes with real momentum to make you feel with every fibre of your being, incredible track with depth as the boys catch their breathe and tell us they cannot wait to get back and party with us real soon as they take us into –

Limbo Man – Gritty rasping killer riffed intro with a deep bass drum kick to get this monster on the move, the guitar shredding is just off the scale. Snare drum punches fill the air as this thundering beast rears it’s ugly head and really let’s loose. Vocals come through and have a real meaty gravelly rasping vibe that really stamps it’s authority on this pounding beast of a track. The killer shredding riff is just insane as it echoes throughout this cool track with a real swagger that we can all identify with, solo slides in and offloads with killer licks that are crisp and clean and really set this track on fire, awesome punchy power driven monster track with soul, as the crowd really show their appreciation we come away thinking that that was just incredible and I know the boys will have enjoyed that, I know Adam, Tony &  Scott well and really thank them for an incredible night of hard rocking music that will take the roof off The Cathouse tonight, we slide into 

Road To Hell – Bang and off we go with a shredding guitar shred that brings in pounding rhythm section that lets this colossal rocker track come for us. The sizzling on point vocals from Mr Andrew Knightley are just opening this beast up as the cool foot stomping groove really leaves it’s mark for sure, we are getting sweet meaty basslines that are really dropping a full on groove that is just awesome. The solid snare drum punches are strong direct and really give this track a full on beat that lets this awesome opener kick in the doors are smack us straight in the face. The tempo changes pace midway through the track and lets Andrew’s smooth melodic vocals really drive this killer track forwards and for sure let’s us know that Andrew, Adam, Tony & Scott are most definitely back and then some, colossal pounding setlist defining track  that is the perfect way to end this blistering night of rock n roll in Glasgow.
