Danielle Nicole Schneblen aka Danielle Nicole is a blues / soul / rock singer / songwriter from Kansas City, USA who has been thrilling audiences since releasing her self – titled EP in 2015. In 2019 she received Blues Music Awards for both Contemporary Blues Female Artist & Bass Instrumentalist, previously before her debut EP release Danielle was in a band called Trampled Under Foot with her brothers Kris & Nick Schneblen. Danielle has given us EP Danielle Nicole, LP’s Wolf Den in 2016, Live @ The Gospel Lounge in 2017, Cry No More in 2018 & The Love You Bleed in 2024 and released 3 Singles, tonight Danielle & her band roll into Auld Reekie to bring us a night of soulful blues rock @ La Belle Angele so please join me as I take in this exciting, incredible musician as she sets out to bring us an unforgettable night we won’t forget in a hurry. The place is filling up nicely and the buzz is building as Danielle , Brandon & Pat hit the stage to rapturous applause as Danielle shouts out Hellooooo Edinburgh, we ready ourselves as Danielle launches into –

Pusher Man – The track erupts with a slick, sizzling guitar lick with cymbal rolls that lets the funky, deep groove beast tell it’s own story as the soulful beat rolls throught the venue tonight. The slick, crisp guitar licks are really hitting the spot as Brandon sizzles with ease as the whole place is just buzzing from Danielle and her incredible band as they deliver a soul searching, no nonsense set that just gets the juices flowing.
The deep, pulsing bassline is really taking us on the journey with the band as we feel every note as it flows freely from the stage, the slick, crisp guitar licks are just raining down on us as the place gets to grips with this colossal trio as they dig deep, shift through the gears and give us a set full of melodies, grooves, incredible vocals and then some, the tempo changes pace as a deep, punchy bass kick lets Danielle unleash her incredible, soulful vocals that are just a pleasure to listen to, we catch our breath as Danielle chats with us about coming to Edinburgh, did I say it right she asks, we holler back hell yeah as she drops into –


Hot Spell – The track kicks off with a deep, funky bass kick as Brandon sizzles with a real blues soaked intro as the thundering bassline drops in and really lets the track breath. Danielle brings her soulful, blues infused vocals that really give this track swagger, depth and a real soulful groove that is putting a smile on everyone’s face tonight, the snare drum punches are raining down on us as the track just delivers with ease as the sultry, melodic tones wrap themselves around us as the trio settles int their stride and really gives us a gig we won’t forget for a long time to come. The soaring vocals are steeped in a blues infused tone that lets the bassline hit us with a cool, meaty funk groove that really allows the track to express itself as the place is fixed on the stage as Danielle, Brandon & Pat deliver a faultless, melodic groove infused arrangement that is just incredible, Danielle thanks us for our support and for coming out on a Tuesday to support live music as we stroll into –


Cry No More – The band chats for a second then breaks into a real dark, melodic groove as the bass kicks fill the air as the cymbal rolls really let the track breath. Danielle steps forward and unleashes her incredible vocals that let the track flow effortlessly through the venue as the soulful bassline drops in and really wraps itself around us as we tap our toes to this incredible track as the place sits motionless and really welcome Danielle Nicole to their hearts as Brandon hits us with a slick, mellow solo that fills the air as the place really feels the depth, swagger and soulful tones oozing from the stage tonight and I can tell you that this early on is ‘One Of My Gigs Of The Year’, yes you heard me right I put it out there and stand by it as Danielle has really brought her A-Game tonight as the place just welcomes her and the boys with open arms, applause rings out as the band really drop in and bring the place to a standstill as Danielle unleashes her phenomenal vocals that just stop us in our tracks as we really feel the energy oozing from the stage tonight as we move onto –

Take It All – The cymbal rolls flow from the stage as Brandon steps forward and unleashes a feel good, melodic riff that has us all stunned into silence as we ready ourselves for what is to come. The blues soaked, soulful vocals from Danielle reach every corner of the venue as we watch the stage and feel the energy oozing from the band as this incredible blues soaked number unfolds as the dark, brooding bassline drops in and lets the track tell it’s own story, the sweet, clean guitar picks are just allowing the track to weave it’s way through the venue as we feel the tone wrap itself around us tonight. The snare drum punches are letting the rhythm section take control of the arrangement as we feel the depth of the musicianship rolls from the stage tonight, the incredible vocals are just captivating as Danielle really lets herself feel the groove coming at us tonight as Brandon unleashes a cool, mellow guitar solo that just stops us in our tracks a swe just close our eyes and feel like we are in a jazz / blues club and witnessing something special tonight and the crowd are really feeling the love as we let the colossal musicianship tell it’s story as we roll into –


I’m Going Home – The stage is set as Danielle & Brandon stand in the middle of the stage as this haunting, melodic number ripples under the surface as Danielle lets her vocals do the talking as this blues infused number comes at us with sheer drive. The cymbal snaps are letting the bass kicks control the direction of this awesome track as the sultry, dark, brooding bassline lets the track breath as the track suddenly erupts into life and gives us a real ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ feel as the musicality flows effortlessly through the venue as the band just let go and really deliver a slick, crisp groove that has us up on our feet as we feel the energy oozing from the stage as the band just cuts loose and really gives it to us straight tonight. The slick guitar work is just immense as Brandon shreds like their is no tomorrow as we groove along to this incredible piece of music. The sultry, dark bassline is oozing class and swagger as we stand in awe of this incredible 3 – piece as they shift through the gears and really give us a show that we won’t forget in a hurry. Danielle’s incredible vocals are matched by her demon like bass playing as the band are as tight as ‘Two Coats Of Paint & Twice On A Tuesday’, insanely good and just getting better with every track that is shot across our bow, up next –

Love On My Brain – A real dirty, punchy rhythm section kicks off the track with a cool bass / snare combo that instantly sets the tone as the sizzling guitar licks ooze from the stage. Danielle leans in with her incredible vocals as the dark, mellow bassline drops in and just settles us into a colossal groove that is just so infectious, the sweet, melodic guitar riffs are filling the air as Danielle unleashes her towering blues soaked vocals upon us as this foot stomping bruiser really grabs our attention as this thought provoking number tells it’s own story as the band dig deep and just dazzle us with incredible songs that just allow us to be taken on the journey with the band as they deliver a real groovetastic, melodic set that has us all mesmerised with it’s intense, groove laden tones that tells us we don’t want the night to end for sure. The place is just wrapped in colossal licks, deep, mesmerising grooves and a killer rhythm section that has controlled the direction of the show from the off let me tell you, Danielle again thanks us for coming out to support her and the boys as the contemplate a day of it as they travel back to Kansas for a festival which will take them a day and a bit to get to, we catch our breath as we stroll into –
Breaking Up Somebody’s Home – The sultry, dark, moody bassline comes through as a sweet, soulful guitar pick oozes from the stage as the rhythm section kicks in with a funky, groove tone that just lets the track come to life. Brandon comes front and centre with a sizzling, crisp guitar groove that lets Danielle lean in and let her colossal vocals bring the track to life, the place is just rockin & rollin as this incredible trio have just re-written the play book with their incredible, no – nonsense set that just told it’s own story as this foot stomping, meaty track just builds and builds as the band hits full speed and really delivers a funky, groove laden gig that just ticks all the boxes as this killer band pulls out all the stops and dazzles us with musicianship that is second to none. The rhythm section is giving us cymbal taps that work so well through this electrifying gig as the snare drum punches fill the air as a dark, delicious bassline wraps itself around us and really gives us that warm, fuzzy feeling as the place just embraces Danielle Nicole and her killer band, the groove is just incredible as the tempo brings us a toe tapping, groove tastic tone that is all wrapped in Danielle’s incredible vocals as we fix our stare on the stage as this incredible arrangement puts a smile on our faces as we get a roaring drum solo that Pat brings us with such vigour and drive as the place is filled with a boom – bastic tone that has us all open mouthed and feeling the heat as we move into –
Wolf Den – The track kicks off with a real Eric Clapton vibe as this dark, moody track lets Danielle bring her sassy, soulful vocals that really allow the track to grow. The slick, crisp guitar riffs are oozing freely through the track as Wolf Howls flow from the stage as the band just gives us a real crunching, broody track that just lets us feel the energy coming from the stage tonight, the whole place is just watching the stage with sheer joy as this show has been a spectacular night and will only get better as Brandon brings the noise with his voice reverb that has Danielle immitating the sound as she drups epic bass bombs all over the stage as this killer track leaves it’s mark and then some. The cymbal snaps control the groove as Brandon and Danielle get into a guitar / bass / voice off that is just magical to watch let me tell you as we smile from ear to ear as we stroll into –
Fools Gold – The track kicks off with a real sludgy, dark, deep pounding rhythm section that lets Danielle come front and centre with a cool, melodic bassline that really delivers on this awesome track. The vocals are soaring through the venue and this just solidifies her musical stature in the blues / rock world and I can tell you this young lady is a real exciting musician that just defies everything about the music industry let me tell you, the slick, sweet guitar licks are oozing from the stage as the band just settles into their stride and just delivers a meteoric set that is littered with incredible tones, vocals and grooves that just let us feel the electricity pouring from this outfit tonight as we get the dark, gritty licks that accompany the groove that is coming at us right now. The soaring vocals are just incredible and add depth, swagger and bags of attitude to this not to be missed show as we stroll into –

Brandon’s Guitar Solo Leading Into Save Me – The stage is quiet as Brandon steps forward and begins to pick apart a phenomenal guitar piece that has us all open mouthed as he goes about his business to really give us something special. The textures, melodies are insane as he really brings us a thought provoking piece that just grabs our attention for sure, the place is getting their phones out and capturing the moment that a guy unleashed hell in Auld Reekie tonight as he goes through the motions to reallt captivate us with his skills and musicianship as he changes tempo and really brings out the big guns for sure, the gold top is glistening in the darkness as we ready ourselves as Danielle joins in and drops some bass bombs as this rasping beauty springs into life. The pounding rhythm section is kicking in with a punchy bass / snare beat that lets the cymbal snaps control the direction of this colossal piece, the band are just coming together with ease as this sludgy, gritty blues rockin number really grabs our attention as the place feels the energy rising with every note and vocal assault that we have gotten tonight, the cool. punchy groove is just wrapping itself around us tonight as the band just shift through the gears on this one and offload with sheer venom as this gritty, rasping guitar lick controls the tone as Danielle lets her incredible vocals lead the charge in this set ending track or so we think as we get a cool rendition of –
With A Little Help From My Friends – Brandon steps forward and brings us the unmistakeable guitar intro to this classic number as the rhythm section kicks in the doors and brings us snare drum punches that combine with bass kicks and cymbal snaps that really let this track soar. The melodic, soulful vocals ring out and let us feel the emotion pouring from the stage tonight as Danielle really gives it her all as this classic track unfolds before us, the musicality is something special let me tell you as we feel every note coming our way right now. The whole place is standing motionless as this rasping number builds and builds as the band finish on a high with soaring vocals, rasping guitar riffs and a killer rhythm section that has controlled the direction of the gig tonight with ease let me tell you.
I said to my tog Scottie ‘This might just be my gig of the year’ because this lady is something special and is ably backed by stellar musicians that really draw you into the music.
