Review By Darren McIntyre
Robert Jon & The Wreck are a 5-piece Southern Rock n Roll juggernaut band from Orange County, Southern California, who came to our attention in 2011, they have been steadily building a loyal fanbase on both sides of the Atlantic with their electrifying shows that capture what these boys are all about. The boys have given us 8 studio albums and a bucketload of singles that have allowed the boys to deliver the best sound to capture our hearts; the heartfelt lyrics, dynamic stage presence and rockin’ riffs have steadily cemented them as a real force of nature and a band you don’t want to miss when they hit the touring circuit, the boys are about to hit the UK on their latest tour and to wet our appetites for the upcoming tour the boys drop their real thought-provoking single Run Back To Me, which I will be reviewing for you today.
–Run Back To Me – The track comes to life with a sweet, melodic guitar lick as Robert Jon leans in and lets his soulful vocals lead the charge in this toe tapping classic as the boys pick up where they left off. The awesome keys are littered throughout the track as Jake delivers a real cool tone that lets the track breathe, the rhythm section is kicking in and letting us feel the tone and texture of thi smooth, soulful arrangement as they boys tell their own story with this real emotion filled number. The dark, punchy bassline drops in and fills the track with cool, delicious grooves that let the track build as Henry James leans in and hits us with a slick, crisp solo that really allows this composition to really let the boys dig deep and let us feel the depth and swagger oozing from this awesome track. The story is a real emotion laden track that just lets Robert Jon take us on the journey with the boys as they wet our appetites for the incoming tour. Robert Jon & The Wreck –
