After Terence Holler’s successful 2024’s debut album Reborn, the former Eldritch singer maintained his momentum this spring with his new band, Holler, which released a follow-up, Next In Line. Both albums tap into his 1970s and 80s hard rock/AOR DNA and with songs about love, loss, loneliness and existentialism. Backed by a sensational quintet of technical masters, the Italian American singer is fully embracing his many influences. There are straight-ahead rock tunes (“Crystal Eyes”), rock-jazz-funk fusion (“Don’t Fool Me”) and a surprisingly riveting cover of Sia’s 2014 hit, “Chandelier.”
I had a blast meeting Terence and discussing life after prog-metal, the killer new albums and the excitement of Holler’s live debut at The Cave in Livorno, Italy on October 25. HOLLER Terence Holler – lead vocals Denis Chimenti – guitar, backing vocals Luca Fuligni – guitar, backing vocals Matteo Chimenti – keyboards, backing vocals Leonardo Peruzzi – bass, backing vocals Alex ʻDemonoidʼ Lera – drums
