Ava Franks – Every Day – Single Review – moramaypr

Review By Darren McIntyre

Ava Franks is an indie/pop artist from New York City, New York, who is known for her luminous melodies that come armed with lush acoustic guitar tones. Ava developed a love of songwriting from an early age, singing in school musicals & local talent shows that allowed her to hone her vocal craft, a staple of her unique sound. Her discography began in 2021 when she released 3 Pines and followed that with Silhouette, Wait For You To Apologise, Golden Child, Do Or Die and her most recent release, I’ve Been Waiting, and today she drops her emotion-filled new track, Every Day, which I will be reviewing for you. Before singing, Ava was a competitive swimmer through high school & college, which took her to Yale.

Every Day – Sultry, mellow vocals ooze from the intro as a nice, melodic acoustic guitar strum lets the track breathe as the snare drum kicks let the rhythm section control the groove. The fantastic vocals really grab our attention as Ava lets her more vulnerable side come at us as this toe-tapping indie arrangement shows us a real mellow tone that is flowing freely through the track; the meaty, funk-laden low end drops in with a cool tone that lets Ava really express herself with her soulful lyrics that just catch us off guard. This is one of those songs that takes you to a smokey club, and as you saunter to your seat, you hear these melting, soothing vocals that stop us in our tracks.
