willJacquie Roar is a Country musician from Nashville, Tennessee whose journey to National Fame began on Season 24 of The Voice where she wowed the audience with the Gretchen Wilson song ‘ Here For The Party’ which earned her the coveted 4 chair turn. Jacquie made her highly anticipated Music City debut performing @ CMA Music Fest, the Opry Plaza & Nashville’s legendary Whiskey Jam performing alongside Jamie O’Neal, Jacuqie made history performing with Jelly Roll @ Oregon State Penitentiary – the first live music event in the prison yard in over 2 decades. Jacquie has opened for Cody Johnson, Riley Green, Nelly & Ian Musnick @ Pendelton Whisky Music Festival, before that Jacquie brought us singles Free & Till The Gas Runs Out, P.S.A., and today returns with a cover of Tool’s ‘The Pot’. Jacquie was recently recognised with Vocal Powerhouse Award @ The Woman Of Country Music Awards 2025 and will be opening for Max McNown on Feb 7th in Portland, Oregon. Please sit back and prepare to be dazzled by this incredible cover that I am sure with bring her a new legion of fans.
‘The Pot’ – Jacquie kicks off this classic track with her powerhouse vocals, letting us know that she is going to slay this bad boy and then some as the thundering groove ripples through the intro as the cymbal crashes rain down on us. The dark, mellow, delicious bassline is hitting us from all sides and wrapping itself around us as this incredible piece gathers pace as Jacquie offloads her towering vocals and really gives this arrangement something special; the grungy offering is just getting slayed as Jacquie and her band deliver on every level as this colossal track gets a makeover with a real crunchy, rasping tone that is off the chart awesome. The shredding guitar licks are kicking ass right from the off as the rhythm section controls the groove as it delivers a solid snare drum beat as the bass kicks allow the track to breathe as this incredible musician kicks in the doors with her phenomenal vocals that really do this track justice. Let me tell you, the boys are keeping tempo with their incredible licks and pounding beats that are finished with a deep, moody bassline that is just letting the groove wash over us as we feel the energy and swagger oozing from this incredible vocalist as she takes this composition to another level.
