Lead Injector – ‘Witching Attack’

Thrash Metal

High Roller Records

20th,Released – February 20th 2026

Review By Smudge Smith

Lead Injector are a blackened thrash trio from Dresden and were formed in 2022, and they are still unfeasibly young. They knocked out a demo in 2024, and on the strength of that, they were given a deal.

Opener ‘Siege Upon Heaven’ really shows who their influences are – Sodom, Destruction and Venom. ‘Sacrifice This Bitch brings more of a death metal vibe but still retains the vicious thrash; it’s raw and razor sharp and has that classic German thrash swing and bounce to it. ‘Evil Executioner’ is more of the same before the punch-up punk metal of ‘Witching Attack’. ‘Chains’ is back to the thrash before drummer Justus rattles out a tribal beat to introduce ‘Angel Destructor’, and they’re off again, metal thrashing mad for nearly five minutes. How they keep it up is beyond me. Not a breath is taken as they careen into ‘Pest Thrash’, where we get some Schmier-like screams before ‘M.C.C.I’ brings the crush – jeez, this bounces and is bound to get a pit going. Things slow down a bit – only a bit on ‘Infinite Force’ – then they change gears for another bouncing thrash gem, ‘Nuclear Antichrist’.

Crikey, this is good. It’s great to see and hear a young band so full of hunger and energy taking on the mantle of German thrash. They have obviously soaked up all the influences and have learnt what they need to do. This is a superb debut; it’s raw, aggressive and full of energy. I am excited to see what they come up with next. More of the same, please.
