Godsnake is a standout metal band from Germany that has been consistently pushing the boundaries of what can best be described as melodic thrash.

I became a fan in 2023 upon the release of their sophomore album, Eye For An Eye, and the band has elevated their game with their new LP, Inhale the Noise. Released by Massacre Records (along with their prior two records), Godsnake takes a significant step forward in their sound on Inhale the Noise, delivering a record that is heavier and more diverse than ever.
It was a lot of fun to reconnect with singer and lyricist Torger Neuhaus and guitarist/composer Stefan “Stevo” Fuhrhop right after their album release show. We discussed the lyrical themes of empowerment and aggression and the guitar hooks that drive the songs into raging anthems. We also talked about the recent lineup, which led to bringing in guitarist Jean Bormann of Rage for the recording of Inhale, whose blistering leads elevated the intensity of the record.

We also talked about the band’s upcoming shows in Germany, onboarding a new second guitarist and their hopes for a proper tour in 2027. Horns Up!
Song clips: “Inhale the Noise,” “Lost and Forgotten,” “Scream for a Bullet,” “Digital Dumbass,” “Enemy of Great.”
