Sean Peck Talks Death Dealer’s Reign of Steel

By Justin Smulison

Heavy metal powerhouse Death Dealer have unleashed their long-awaited fourth album, Reign Of Steel, available now worldwide via Massacre Records on physical and digital formats.

And I am not using the term “powerhouse” lightly – veterans of the American metal scene are at the helm: Sean Peck (vocals; Cage and Three Tremors), Ross “The Boss” Friedman (guitars, “Ross The Boss”, and formerly of Manowar), Stu Marshall (guitars, Night Legion), Mike LePond (bass, Ross The Boss and Symphony X) and Steve Bolognese (drums, formerly of Ross The Boss and THEM). This is the album for anyone into Judas Priest-inspired power metal.

The album is packed with high-impact riffs, molten leads, Peck’s soaring vocals and unapologetic heavy metal grandeur.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Peck to discuss the many high points on Reign of Steel – from the lyrical themes rooted in history, tragedy and fantasy to his ability to hold an unedited battle cry during “Dragon of Algorath”.

We also talked about how the other high-level players inspired him to go above and beyond in this outing and why a follow-up is already on the horizon. Horns way up!
