Bay City Rollers, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five and MacFloyd added as standalone concerts around the tenth-anniversary rock festival
WinterStorm will bring five consecutive days of live music to Troon for the first time in its ten-year history, with three standalone concerts complementing the festival’s established three-day classic rock weekend.
The programme opens at Troon Concert Hall on Wednesday 25 November with the Bay City Rollers before WinterStorm’s tenth-anniversary festival, StormForce X, takes over the venue from Thursday 26 until Saturday 28 November.
Two separate After the ’Storm concerts follow on Sunday 29 November: a family-friendly afternoon with Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five and a fully seated evening performance by Scotland’s acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute MacFloyd.
The Wednesday and Sunday events are individually ticketed and open to everyone. Audiences do not need to hold a ticket for the main WinterStorm festival, but each concert will benefit from the full-scale sound, lighting and production installed for the rock weekend.
Bay City Rollers – Wednesday 25 November
Original member Stuart “Woody” Wood will lead the Bay City Rollers into Troon for a celebratory opening night filled with the songs that made the group a worldwide phenomenon.
Hits including Shang-A-Lang, Bye Bye Baby, Saturday Night and Summerlove Sensation helped turn the Scottish band into international stars as Rollermania swept across the globe.
The concert begins at 7.30pm and is suitable for ages eight and over.
WinterStorm X – Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 November
At the heart of the five-day programme is WinterStorm’s tenth-anniversary classic rock weekend.
The three-day, two-stage festival will feature FM, Tyketto, Toseland, Tygers of Pan Tang, Focus, Blaze Bayley, Mostly Autumn, John Corabi, The Commoners, Bad Touch, Chantel McGregor, Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash and Graham Oliver’s Army among an extensive international and UK line-up.
One-, two- and three-day tickets remain available, together with ticket and accommodation packages for visitors wishing to make a weekend of it.
Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five – Sunday 29 November
Sunday begins at midday with the return of Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five and their family-friendly Brunch by the Beach. Following the response to their previous Troon appearance, the colourful festival favourites will be back with DJ5 and additional entertainment for an afternoon of music, dancing, audience participation and the band’s trademark explosion of yellow.
Doors open at noon, with entertainment beginning at 12.30pm.
MacFloyd – Sunday 29 November
MacFloyd will bring the five days to an atmospheric conclusion with a fully seated evening concert celebrating the music of Pink Floyd.
The band have earned an outstanding reputation for combining accomplished musicianship, immersive lighting and projections with music from albums including The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and The Division Bell.
MacFloyd’s previous WinterStorm appearance sold out, and demand for their return is already strong. The band arrive in Troon following a sold-out appearance alongside Moving Pictures at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom and another triumphant late-night set at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
The concert runs from 7pm until 10pm.
Festival director Ian McCaig said:
“For ten years, WinterStorm has brought visitors from across the UK and overseas to Troon, but the festival has always belonged to Ayrshire too.
“For our tenth anniversary, we wanted to create something around the main rock weekend that offered genuinely different nights out for local audiences. The Bay City Rollers, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five and MacFloyd could hardly be more different, but each promises a brilliant live experience in its own right.
“You don’t need a WinterStorm weekend ticket and you don’t need to be a committed rock fan. These are three standalone concerts for anyone who wants to enjoy great live music at Troon Concert Hall. It means that, for the first time, we will have five consecutive days of live music by the sea—and we hope people from across Ayrshire will come along and be part of it.”
Individual concert tickets, festival passes and selected room-inclusive packages are available now.

WinterStorm in 500 characters
WinterStorm is an annual melodic rock music festival held in Troon, Scotland, on the last weekend of November. It features a mix of established and up-and-coming rock bands from around the world, playing across two stages in the Troon Concert Hall, a venue located in this traditional seaside town. The indoor festival weekend has a reputation for its friendly Scottish welcome and attracts rock fans from all over the UK and beyond.
WinterStorm in 750 words
WinterStorm was born in Troon Scotland in 2016 and since then it has continued to prosper through some highly challenging times, with the 2025 event selling more than 3000 tickets over the four days of the event.
It continues to punch above its weight in terms of bands and artistes attracted and there is no doubt that this is down to the unique atmosphere that the venue and its audience creates.
WinterStorm is fully committed to offering the best experience an old school concert hall venue can provide with local suppliers providing the services and communities engaged at every level. Quality bar and catering operations offering Scottish produce and real ales are matched by the amazing work of the volunteer service provided by the legion of ‘StormTroopers.
WinterStorm has grown with a commitment to looking after the “talent”; bands and musicians make WinterStorm, and the organisers take immense pride with the feedback from artists, with bands ALWAYS more than impressed with the sound provided and the levels of service given. They are looked after as guests. WinterStorm’s reputation has grown through the word of mouth of bands and management and this support has undoubtedly helped the organisers to attract others to the stage year on year.
The event provides a truly unique atmosphere in the compact 850 capacity main stage area and when fans and bands alike compare it favourably to the sound and atmosphere of the old Glasgow Apollo, those organising don’t take the compliment lightly. It is however exactly what they set out to achieve.
It truly is a unique atmosphere and when fans and bands alike compare it favourably to the sound and atmosphere of the old Glasgow Apollo, we don’t take the compliment lightly but it is what we set out to achieve.
WinterStorm alumni now include so many of our heroes and bands, old and new –
Michael Schenker Group, Skid Row, Ugly Kid Joe, Dead Daisies, Magnum, Focus, GUN, FM, Last in Line, The Quireboys, Wayward Sons, Tyketto, – Heavy Metal and old school bands such as Tygers of Pan Tang, Diamond Head, Praying Mantis, Vardis, Quartz, Girlschool, OD Saxon, Geordie and Rock Goddess and individual heroes such as Bernie Marsden, Uli Jon Roth, Graham Bonnett, Geoff Tate, Martin Barre, Pete Way, Ricky Warwick, Neil Murray, Blaze Bayley and Paul Di’anno, Pat McManus, Cherie Currie and Marco Mendoza
European talent has played its part too; H.E.A.T, The New Roses, Eclipse, Crazy Lixx amongst a catalogue of others; 2024 diversified its geographical spread yet further with The Damn Truth from Canada, Von Hertzen Brothers from Finland, Electric Gypsy from Brazil, SEVI from Bulgaria and Girish and The Chronicles from India.
Add in the new generation bands such as Those Damn Crows, Stone Broken, Massive Wagons, Florence Black, Tailgunner and a whole load more of bands embraced enthusiastically by the WinterStorm fan base.
And of course, WinterStorm is proudly Scottish. So, it’s no surprise to discover that they have featured the occasional pipe band, Celtic tribal bands and the obligatory Lone Piper to close each event out!
Nine years and more than 300 bands later, WinterStorm HAS no doubt punched above its weight and they’ve only been able to do this through fans, bands and artistes supporting the ethos of WinterStorm and its team.
The 2026 event will again take place over the last weekend in November with WinterStorm celebrating its tenth anniversary with a bang.
There will be a few surprises but at its core there will be the usual eclectic mix of NWOBHM, Blues, Prog, AOR and maybe a bit of hair metal again!
Why not join them on the journey?
